When I was reading the paper last week I came across a picture that really made me laugh. I just had to share it with those of you who have not seen it. I apologise for the poor quality but newspaper articles and pictures never scan well.
I know our country is in dire straits but has it really come to this? That a very well-known personage will have to find a job to help pay the bills?
Forget Burger King and meet:-
Poor Liz. I can imagine her saying, just like her illustrious ancestor - "We are not amused!"
Perhaps not, because beneath her normally glum expression I do think that there lurks a sense of humour. I am sure Wills and Harry would see the funny side.
Having put that on my public journal I shall now probably be carted off to the Tower of London for my pains. Well, I would be in good company with so many famous people having been incarcerated there before me. As long as I do not lose my head!
I just thought that this was so comical, too good not to share. The state of the economy is not in the least funny nor the fact that our American friends are also feeling the pinch very deeply but they say that laughter is the best medicine.
I hope it has raised a chuckle for you today.

Yes the economy is awful here. The dollar has fallen so much lower than the Euro. I think even lower than the pound! Heating will be horrendous this winter, I hope I can qualify for some assistance. Linda
I think this is absolutely hilarious, Jeannette! Thanks. And as I do not feel as one of her Majesty's subjects I can laugh out loud and not be afraid of her wrath!
Have a nice day!
Ciao

Thanks for the chuckle this morning. Here is a ***BIG SMILE*** for your today.
It sounds like a good day to stay warm and cosy inside for you . 'On Ya' - ma
Oh my! That's pretty funny!

Hi Jeannette! Actually, I think that is a little frightening, LOL! I do hope you don't get your head chopped off though, LOL!
By the way, I thought you should know. And this could explain why you don't have many comments. I went to comment. When I pressed "add a comment" or whatever it's called, it led me to a page, that made me give me my aim or aol screename or email address, and my aim or aol password. Having put them in and having pressed enter, it took me to a place that was not even your journal! I believe it was an AOL front page of some kind, i forget which one. So there was no link back to your journal entry or your journal at all. So I Xed the whole AOL main page out. Fortunately I had not deleted your emal alert, so I reclicked on that and returned to your entry. I hit "add a comment" once again -- b/c I really wanted to comment on this entry of yours. Once again hitting "add a comment" took me to a page that made me fill out my aim/aol screename or email addy, and then aim or aol password. This time when I pressed enter I was allowed to place this comment here. Just thought you would like to know -- in case you wanted to mention it to the appropriate person(s).
God bless, and God save the Queen!

Yes, laughter is the best medicine!!! Thanks for sharing this with your readers "across the pond" as they say...it was "royally funny"!!!

I'll have a small chocolate shake and could you smile please. Thanks for sharing this. My daughter lived in England for three years and she loved it there. Paula
That made me laugh at first, but if you think about, it really is sad isn't it? I'm glad to know it's not just the the United States who is having financial problems.
Missie
Definitely brought a smile to my face, but when you think of the financial situation around the world, it makes us stop and think of what does tomorrow bring to everyone who is struggling already, I pray things get better for everyone. Arlene (AJ)
It brought a chuckle when I needed. I look at my shrinking stocks and despair of ever being able to retire. Not a darn thing to do about it either.

Hi Jeannette, Can you imagine being served by The Queen, or Lizzie as she would be known as...lol! I read part of Ann Leslie`s autobiography in the Mail and she asked The Queen why she always looked so grumpy, she answered that she didn`t have a natural smiley face like her mother. I`m sure she does have an excellent sense of humour really but I`m sure I wouldn`t be smiling all day if I had her job.
Love Sandra xxxx
yeah saw it in the paper lol good though take care love mort xx
Hmmm, I think Her Majesty has an delirious sense of humor :) She would have to; to keep her sanity throughout the years.

LOL that made me laugh! LOVE the big earrings with the outfit. She can't be without some diamonds no matter what she's doing! I'm sure the Princes thought it was funny! But, whether the Queen thought so...well.....
Pam
