What a day. Teeming with rain, black skies, totally miserable. Little chance of an Indian summer methinks.
Nathan enjoyed his first day of school yesterday and Becky and Dean had a nice anniversary. Becky had the plus of winning a prize online!
Mike has almost finished painting our hallway so soon he can put the paint pot and brushes away. All he has done has been to change the cream paint that was already there to white so I shall not be posting pictures.
I thought, as it was the weekend, I would invite you to take part in another poll.
I have come up with all the things that I can think of. However, if your choice is not listed here, please leave it under comments. I would like to know what smells other people find most appealing.
I have set the poll up as multiple choice, so you can pick more than one. Heck, you can tick them all if you like unless you have opted for None Of The Above. You can put your choices in the order of your preferences.
Wishing you all a very happy weekend.

Hi Jeannette glad Nathan enjoyed his first day ,and that Becky and Dean enjoyed theirs too ,what did she win ?..Like you say horrid day and cold too ...Have a good weekend ..I have voted ...love Jeanxx
Ooh a difficult choice Jeannette, but went for coffee although it is level pegging with freshly baked bread.
But funny that you talk about aromas today, as I have an 'aroma' around me at the moment that is driving me barmy. I grabbed a big weed yesterday with my barehands (I usually wear gloves, when weeding) and this 'weed' which grows tall and wide, has what look like large green peas instead of flowers. Well the stink it left on my hands smells like mouldy old cheese, and I can't get rid of it. I keep scrubbing my hands and throwing perfume all over me, but the pong just seems to hang in the air. So be warned. Will try to find out what the plant is called.
Hope Nathan ejoyed his day at school :-D
glad school went well... in addition to those I picked above.. vanilla is a wonderful smell to me :)
hugs

I am glad the first day of school was a success! Congrats to Becky for winning a prize also!
Glad that Nathan had a good first day of school and that his parents had a good Anniversary. Have a happy weekend also. Helen
good for nathan glad all went well. bacon sarnies what a smell, which has made me hungry take care mort xx
Hi Jeanette, glad the first day of school went well. I like all the scents except frying bacon. I checked perfume but there are some of them I cannot stand. The smell of bacon being cooked outside (as in camping) is ok but not in the house. Scents do play an important role in our lives :)...............alice
It seems as the seasons change my favorite smells do too, but most of the ones you listed do not depend on the seasons so my choices were easy ones. One of my favorites not listed is the smell of roses. 'On Ya' - ma
Happy first day of school to Nathan! I'm glad he liked it. Also happy anniversary to Becky! Nice that she won a prize. I never win anything.

Such a contrast in the weather as although it rained during the night we've had blue skies and it's been about 18 degrees here today...It's not been that bad here all week apart from being a bit cooler in the evenings and much darker...What rain we have had has fallen only during the night...Nathan looks so grown up and hope he enjoys school...My best friends wee lad started school last week although he's not full day until mon Caff xxxx
So pleased to hear Nathan enjoyed school and that his Mum and Dad had a good wedding aniversary ,I did your poll ,well done Mike for finishing the painting ,have a lovely weekend ..love Jan xx
Favorite odor depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes lemons are the favorite. Sometimes, hot chocolate w/marshmallows. I only like coffee when the package is opened for the first time or it is freshly ground.
Whatever you do, though, don't stick mint under my nose!!

I have restrained myself - it was a heck of a temptation to tick the lot!!
