Hello friends,
Wanted to let you all know that I am taking an extended break from my journal.
I need to do this. Over the past many months the time spent on the computer has crept up and up. When I began my journal I never thought it would take over my life in quite the way that it has done. Other things that I should have been doing have been sadly neglected and I want to focus on those now.
Regular readers might remember that I started a rug for Nathan's room many months ago. It remains less than half completed. I want to finish it. I had further information in for the family tree so I need to spell check it all now and print that off. I want to print off Pip's Tale. Yes, I will be adding the final two chapters and then printing it off because both Mike and myself wish to keep it. There are cupboards and drawers sadly in need of cleaning out, a half-finished piece of knitting and other things. I also need to get myself fitter by not spending so much time during the day sitting in front of my computer screen.
When the warmer weather does arrive I shall wish to be out in the garden, pruning, weeding and planting up so I want to get all of the other outstanding things out of the way first.
For those of you following Pip's Tale, keep an eye out over the next few days because I will be continuing and finishing that.
This break, of course, means I shall also be turning off alerts. I cannot take this leave of absence and do the things I need to do if I still have to spend several hours per day dealing with those. This does not mean I do not care about you. You are all special to me and I enjoy sharing in your lives. You have become and will remain my friends.
I am not giving up my journal, just taking time out and I may well pop back unexpectedly from time to time during this break but, in the meantime, I need to concentrate now on other things. Time passes all too quickly and I have been putting things I need to do on hold for far too long. When the time is right and I have done what I need to do, I shall return hopefully to do regular entries. However, like I said I might pop up occasionally with photos or brief entries even whilst taking time out ~ I shall just see how it goes.
So, in the meantime, I wish you all well. I hope that life treats you kindly and I shall look forward to catching up with you farther down the line.
God bless you all.
New Chapter added to
P.S. I shall still be online picking up e-mails from my long standing internet friends some of whom I have known for ten years, banking, shopping etc. so if any of you wish to e-mail me from time to time, please feel free to do so.

See you when you get back Jeannette, I remember the rug. You're a lovely warmhearted and generous lady and things do catch up on us. You're family and health comes first and they'll enjoy having more of your time. It will be good if you could pop back now and again and say hello, let us know what you've doing, just a short entry once in a while, we're gonna miss you but wish you all the best in your break. (((( many hugs )))) hope Jack is giving you plenty tlc back. Rache xx

Will miss you, but totally understand! You'll be in my thoughts & prayers.
God Bless,

I understand completely! I am sitting here doing journals and I need to be cleaning my repulsive kitchen! I'll be glad to see you from time to time! Linda
I know how you feel!! Between journals (which has become addicting) and home schooling, my house is falling apart! I can't remember the last time I really cleaned my house!

We all need breaks from time to time...There's a lot out there far more important than sitting in front of our computers...I don't have many that i read as such as i knew that if i did i would spend too much time reading, commenting etc and would ignore doing everything else around me....Take care and do please post a pic of the rug when it is finished :o) Caff xxx
Understood! I don't know how you folks find the time in the day as it is, writing and reading everyone's entry every day! You will be sadly missed though I enjoy reading your journal. Take care, Love Fiona x x x
You have to do what you have to do. Reading you has become a favorite habit of mine...I sit here and wonder what you are writing now across the pond. Sometimes I've mentioned some things you have written to other people and I routinely use the word "my English friend" and that's how I think of you. Jeanette you will be missed, but please do recharge your batteries. Doing these journals can encroach terrribly on our regular way of life, smothering some of what needs to be accomplished. I'm trying to still work on my book..so a lot of times I do not write in the journal on a daily basis. You can only do so much. Well, I will look to see you back in the future and if you don't mind perhaps send you a "hello" now and then in an email....love, Sandi
Enjoy your time off J - you have really earned it - get all those things done - enjoy your garden and your Family...Pop in occasionally so we know you are OK....The Odd picture of Jack and the boys we don't want to miss them growing up...which they do so quickly.....Ally

awwwwwwww we understand Jeannette - I just took a break myself - but I was soon turning those alerts back on again but I know what you mean - it does take up alot of time and when you get an alert you feel guilty if you dont look at it. Hope you get things done and keep in touch, see you soon again. Love Laine xxx

I for one will miss you much. Your lovely pictures and delightful tales brighten my day. I know you will need a break now and then so I'll leave my alert on for you and when you do post I'll know about it. It does seem like we spend less time at the computer when the nice weather comes anyway. Good luck on all those projects. I've got a similar list, but with my mom needing help now, I have no free time. Take a care ! 'On Ya' - ma
I will miss your entries and all your lovely pictures. By the time you come back to your journal your grandchildren will be so much more grown up. I will miss seeing their beautiful pictures. Enjoy your time away and catch up with all the things you have been meaning to do. Take care and God bless. Love Joyce. xxx

Hello Jeannette...........You deserve a break I hope you are able to get what you need done. All of us here at J-Land will surely miss you and we will be thinking of you while you are on your break. I will continue writing for you. Have a great time catching up on the things you missed. We all love you............Take care dear Jeannette.............talk to you soon.
Bye for now, Jeannette.
Hope you get everything done, and enjoy your break. Take care. ~Deborah
I understand Jeannette. I have so many alerts and working full time gives me not enough time to read them all and get anything done around the house when I'm home. I'd rather read journals but one does have to pay the bills, read the mail vacuum, dust, change the sheets and do some dishes from time to time. And yes spring is coming & that means time out in the yard. I did get my roses pruned but need to trim the lavendar and other perennials. Will look forward to reading the rest of Pips story and hearing of Jack's escapades from time to time. Linda in Washington
I was very sad to hear that you will not be keeping your journal going Jeannette.
Although I absolutely understand your reasons and I admire your resolution to get all those little things done that are awaiting your attention. Best of love to you, your husband and pets. I will take up your invitation to email you on occasion. take care of yourself. Pam.
Take all the time you want and I'll be here on your next update. I know what you mean, I probably will have to follow your example so I can catch up with some things. I love you, Jeannette. I will miss you.
Take care Jeannette and enjoy your break. Look forward to hearing from you again.
Love Debbie xx
Cupboards and drawers need clearing, half finished knitting? You sound just like me!! I had a break last week so can understand completely how things get left when you're journalling. I still haven't turned on my alerts, I haven't finished all I wanted to do yet. Have a good break, look forward to hearing from you again when you have time. I'll send you a postcard from Peru or Brazil in a couple of weeks. Love Jeannette xx
Take all the time you need-we all understand and can relate! I bet keeping up
with TWO journals can be time consuming! I only write about nonesense compared
to your wonderful writing-and it takes me way over an hour to complete one
entry! Catch up on everything you need to do-and all your fans will be here
waiting for your return! ~Diane~http://journals.aol.com/dizarra/StorysFromtheCityTalesFromtheSea
Time off is a very good thing. Take care and look forward to seeing pictures of the garden.
