The world of journals is celebrating its second anniversary. So, happy anniversary to all journal keepers. It has to be one of the best thing that AOL has ever done. Of course, here in the UK journals have not been going for quite that time but we are all part of one big global village. What a wonderful community we have here. I have come to know some wonderful people and have shared in their ups and downs, their joys and sorrows, their day-to-day lives and they have shared in mine and supported me in good times and in bad. You really do feel that you know people and come to care for them and think about them. Long may journals continue.
Well, the ducks have proved popular. I have had five people ask me for the site and one person has already placed an order so we are getting a little duck appreciation society going here! I think the firm should send me a free duck for all the publicity I have given them (some hopes). For those of you who do buy , I hope you enjoy your ducks as much as we are enjoying ours.
Cannot believe how chilly it is here for August. No sitting outside in the garden. No, I am off to give the bathroom a good cleaning. No rest for the wicked.

I didn't realise journals had been going for two years until I had an alert from Krissy today. Happy Anniversary! The journallers are great people aren't they?
It's nice to keep a journal and read about others daily trials and tribulations.
It's cold here too, very un August like but at least we have no more rain like fridays downpours!! At least your ducks will feel at home in all that water!!
Jeannette.

It's hard to believe its been 2 years for j-land journals, doesn't seem possible. But very glad that I have gotten to know such a great group of people.
I have found several places that sell the Dcuks here in the States, and will let you know when I get mine. Thanks for the info. Hope you are enjoying a cool day for a change. ttfn :) ~Deborah
Here in Burton Latimer, Northants it is sooo hot; have just spent most of morning since 9 am walking round a car boot sale and it was that hot a couple of people passed out, no kidding! The sky is blue and it is warmer than it has been for days.
Sorry to hear that it is yet another dull for you. The sun has gone in here but it is still about 25c which is very hot for up here in the frozen north. I really think you should be on commission for the duck maker it could be a great little earner for you. Glad I have joined J-land I enjoy hearing everybodies news etc and getting their comments on what I've been up to but could you please tell me what lol means is it lots of love? Love Joan.
Love the ducks! So, 2 years, that's interesting to know. If we do make it to the Highate Cem (rests on the weather) I will take photos of course!

When I first started my journal, I was sure I would be the only one reading it. I have noticed for the first time in a while that my counter is close to 3000! I know some of them numbers belong to me but most to others. I am so glad I have this place. All of you make my days so much brighter. Oh and chilly? Wow. It is 93 degrees here, even though my little weather girl must be getting her report from Alaska! It's so hot even the ice cubes are sweating!
That is great about the anniversary for j-land...
It is hot as blazes here in Va....in the 90's again...yuck! Bring on the cooooooooooooool...looking forward to it.

What an exciting experience it is to getting to know so many people. Everyone likes when something new is on the market or happening in everyday life. Journals must be the most unusual and unexpected idea that I never could have begun to think about only several years ago. Thank you for all your encouragement and help getting me started Jeannette (Hugs). I am only on the computer in the everning now, and devoting my days to my regular daily work, so I am behind on alerts. mark
Happy Anniversary!!!!
I need to still go check out those ducks.... :)
Have a great week!
