Summer Is A Comin' In

What blazing weather we have been having so early in the year, almost two weeks of it and I, for one, am glad it will be cooling down at least for a while.

Myself and him indoors have worked hard in the garden. We have got all the tubs planted and all we need now is for them to estabish.  Shrubs have been pruned and trees cut back, the lawn given a good mowing.

Mike has still found the time to go out and about with his camera.

I love this picture of Bluebells

Leo loves getting in with the rabbits.  I think he thinks they are other cats.

Here he is with his arms (paws) around Mrs. Miniver.

A week tomorrow (Thursday) I go to see my oncologist.  I am not looking forward to it particularly as I had assumed that my mammogram would have been done first and she would be able to tell me the results.  No so.  My mammogram is not until the 9th June!  Also, despite their assurances that with my problems getting to the hospital it was on my notes to give me the earliest possible appointments in the day, the one with the oncologist is not until late morning and my mammogram not until the middle of the afternoon.  Oh well, nothing I can do about it. I just hope it will not be too hot on both those days because I find it hard enough to cope going there at the best of times and heat would make it worse.

I just want it out of the way now.  I hope and pray with all my heart that no problems will be found and that I will require no further treatment.

We are also having our front windows and front door replaced.  Our double glazing is old, it was here long before we took possession.  Now the windows steam up and water runs down the inside.

Maybe I should have waited until all my results were in but Spring/Summer is a busy time for the installers so we decided to go ahead.  It is very frustrating not to be able to see out to the front unless you enjoy seeing it all through a fog.

So even more I hope there are no problems for me at my two medical appointments.  If I get the all clear then I have the installation of the new windows  and door to look forward to and will also be able to enjoy the summer unlike last year.

I know as the time approaches I shall be getting very nervous.  Right now I am trying not to think about it.  I know your thoughts, good wishes and prayers will be with me.  I will let you know how I get on.

Well, lunchtime is here and Becky will also be arriving with Daniel soon so I had better eat before then.

Hope you are all having a good week.

Love,

Photobucket

It's been very cool and rainy here..with just enough sunshine sprinkled in so as we don't loose hope that Spring is really here.  Your pictures are beautiful and I love how the cat plays with the bunny and it doesn't mind either.  I guess they know they all belong to the same family.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers and you are so right not to be worrying about it all.  The good Lord has it all taken care of and we know he'll do what is best in all things.  Enjoy your garden!

Hello Jeannette,  Lovely to hear from you again, and please thank Mike for the photos, he does take them well.  I know the rabbit must have been named after Mrs Miniver in the film, that is one of my most favourite films of all times, I now have it on dvd.

I guessed your appointment must be due soon, I do hope it goes well for you, I'll be thinking of you.

By the way, did you get my postcard from the south of France a few eeks ago?  You may not have realised it was from me!  I've posted an entry in my journal this week - not before time, the last one was on 6th December! Love, Pat  http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

Loved all the pictures.  I hope and am praying that your appointment goes smoothly and ends with great news.  I have to replace my double windows also.  They drive me nuts being so foggy.

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, also hoping that the day goes fast for you. Your hubby is so talented with the camera I love that bluebell shot, just gorgeous. My Joe already has huge tomatoes on the vine, we've actually eaten several that have turned red recently. But here we get a jump on the hot weather and can plant almost year round. Be well, love Sandi

Jeannette, so good to hear from you.  The picture of Leo with the rabbit is so cute.  I'm glad Leo doesn't think of the rabbit as prey.  I bet Jack would love to herd the rabbit.   We had 1 very warm day but since the days have been much cooler.  However, the TV weather guys are saying it's going to be in the high 70's this weekend.  Yesterday it drizzled all day and didn't get higher than 50 degrees.  So that's what we've been dealing with.  I understand the anxious feelings about visiting the doctor.  And yes, we are sending prayers and good thoughts your way.   Hope those little boys of yours are doing well. Hi jeanette, what a lovely lot of photo's. Thanks for sharing.  I was just thinking the other day about you and wondering when your appointments were. I know it is daft me saying "keep cool" "keep calm" so I won't say it  LOL   What I will say is that my prayers are always with you jsut maybe a bit more intense when you appointments are due.  God Bless   Love Sybil xx

Hi Jeannette, fingers crossed for your appointments.
Lovely pics, your pets look as though they all get on well together.
It's raining now, which is a shame because I thought we had regained the lovely hot Mays we used to have some years ago.  Still, it's not cold and I managed to get the grass cut before it rained. :-D

all the best

The pictures are wonderful, the bluebell one is gorgeous and should be framed. Know you'll be in my special thoughts on your appointments dear, hope you get good news from the oncologist next Thursday and good results from the mammogram. Understand the stress related in knowing if all is ok, my Sis Mary Ann had her mammogram yesterday with good results, but know her being a 2 time breast cancer survivor that she worries until she has this done and gets the results.  Take care.  Arlene (AJ)

hello Jeannette,

The photos are lovely and yes, the bluebells are so pretty. I always think of them as the start of Summer.  I`ve been working hard in the garden and all the work has now been done. The tubs and baskets are all done and like you, I`m waiting for the flowers.  The lovely weather has changed back to dull and cold today but hopefully it`s just a blip before a gorgeous Summer begins.

I have been thinking of you recently as I knew you had a hospital appointment around now. I will say a prayer that all will be well on the day and that you cope well with your journey there and back. Take care my dear friend.

Love Sandra xxxx

Hope it all went well for you Jeannette, the weather has been a little cooler today :) so I hope that helped too. Those are lovely pictures to see......wished I could swim that good. Rache

Love your photos with the animals. I'm surprised that Leo hasn't attempted to eat that rabbit. I know mine would try. Although when my Becky brought home a guinea pig they figured it out and left her alone. Good luck with your mammogram. You will be in my prayers.

Hi Jeannette !!!!!!!!

Its always nice to stop off and visit your journal. It sure seems like Summer in my neck of the woods though we may have some days of rain but I am enjoying the warm weather. Anywho.......it sure looks nice in your neck of the woods. I enjoy reading about your life as always. I have been planting some flowers and things in my backyard on our deck which I have come to be something of a green thumb. The bluebells sure like nice I really like how they look. Your pets sure look happy and I am sure they are. Thanks for sharing your life with us and I shall return.

Your friend, Monae

Well i am behind....as usal  :o(

I hope that everything goes well for you with your appointments today Jeannette, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

The bluebell photo is beautiful. I need to get out and do my garden but the arthritis in the back doesn't help, litle by little i guess is the only way.
Its beginning to look like a jungle out there at the moment, grass knee to waist high....lol....thankfully my neighbour said that he will cut it this weekend.... bless him.

I didnt even know that you had rabbit/rabbits....guessed i must have missed something along the way...lol. The photo of Leo is adorable....how he has grown. I acquired a new kitten around 2 months back..... she is such a cutie and still trying to fit in with the 'Persian Madam' that lives here...lol. They are really quite funny as the persian pretends not to like her too much, but then next minute they are chasing each other around.

Well will finish here.......... Good Luck again and hope all goes well and you dont have to wait too long or get to anxious

hugs Jayne

The photo's of all the pet's are wonderful.    Salty cannot be trusted off his rope so I don't take him swimming at one of the local lakes.   He does go for walks with me daily as I should walk 2 miles a day.   I can measure that distance by the number of time up and down the lane in front of my home with no cars.     Jack and Jesse must really love their swimming.    Leo the cat with Mrs. Miniver is wonderful.   It will be nice when your window's are replaced and you will be able to have a clear view.     mark
