Video Entry

I am sharing with you today a little slice of our area.  The church you will see is one where Becky was christened and the funeral of both my parents took place.  Sadly, Mike and I were not able to be married there. As a divorced man, they would not entertain it. Strange, because they were quite happy to baptise our daughter!

I hope to be catching up on all your journals really soon.

So, sit back and enjoy the scenery and the history lesson into the bargain.

Wishing each and every one of you a good week.

Thank you so much dear Jeannette for this lovely video.  I could listen to your sweet voice all day.  Oh how I wish that I can someday come and see your beautiful country in person.  Have a wonderful Sunday evening.  It's 10:15am here and I must sit down & pay some bills, deliver an Avon order and then begin the ironing that is once again piled up.  I ended up watching church on TV this morning.    Linda in Washington

Jeannette, what a lovely place to live.  The history of the church was totally fascinating; so many facets to it.  It's a shame you and Mike were not permitted to be married there.  I loved the school house and the thatched roof although I'm not too sure I would want to be near a poltergeist.  Thank you for the peaceful video and history lesson.  xx  Chris

I love history and particularly English history! Your entry was wonderful.  You could do some documentary work with the nice way you have at telling the story to go with the picture.  The video made me feel like I was on a tour.  I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon visiting a museum.  We weren't allowed to take pictures inside of course, but I really enjoyed it.  Take good care !  Hope things are better !  'On Ya' - ma

Sorry to hear you've been below par Jeanette, altho it sounds as if you've perked up a little bit.
I hope all goes well at the Dr's. I don't think anyone likes going there, although it is obviously a lot more difficult for you. Knowing you need to stay calm and being able to do it are quite different things, I hope it isn't too traumatic for you.

A beautiful church and school house! Thankyou for telling us the history too, it makes it all the more interesting. I had to come back to this as when you first put it on it kept stopping and there was no narration. Hope all goes well at the doctors on Friday. Hi Jeannette.   I loved this entry!  I've always wanted to visit your lovely, historic  country.  Thank you for giving me glimpses into your magical land.
So interesting hearing the history of that church and school house.  And such old buildings!  Nothing here is that old.  Where I live, in the 1700's there was nothing but Indians and buffalo here. The Wild West was just getting ready to begin!
Thank you again for this....it was VERY enjoyable!
