A cold and overcast day but not as windy as yesterday. The area has been very quiet and I have not seen many people going off to vote (the polling station is just around the corner from us) - maybe a lot of them will be going this evening. Thankfully we will not have to endure endless radio, t.v. and newspaper coverage after today - well apart from dissecting the results of course.
I must thank our friend Sandra of Sandra's Scribbles (link on left) for my posting today. A couple of days ago, she put on a very colourful photograph she had been playing around with. So, last night I decided to have a fool around for myself. So many different effects to choose from but I came up with just four, the four I enjoyed the best.
Here is the original photo (taken in our garden)
And this is what I did with it:-
Due to some technical difficulties I have had to temporarily remove these photos. Hope to put them back another time.
Top left - Solarized, top right - Inverted
Bottom left - Cartoon, bottom right - Stained Glass
All strangely beautiful in their own way although Mike says the bottom right one looks more like a honeycomb!!
Let me know which one of the special effects, you like the most.
Have a good day.

Of course I love the original, but of the four I really like the inverted (green) one. Lots of fun, Jeanette. Blessings, Penny
I believe I like the top left best but not as good as the original one. I also have been playing with pictures in the photo shop. Helen
Great fun Jeannette.
I like the bottom right, it looks like snake skin!!!!!!! very cool!!!

I think I like the bottom left best - cartoon. It has a lovely freshness about it. But the original is a glorious picture - like something out of the National Geographic magazine!
David.
Like the inverted green one too, but they are all lovely. Raining here, but not cold; in the mid 60's. Hugs, hon. Hope you have a reasonably good day. Love you. Barb
Lovely pic Jeannette, they always look happy don't they, pansies - they are pansies aren't they?!
I like the cartoon version, because it's pretty, but the colours in the stained glass one are going to make me change my mind in a minute.... yes, my favourite is the stained glass one :o)

I love the solarized pic. Jeannette, but they are all very colourful and eye-catching. I think the inverted pic. looks like kiwi fruit. Jim and I cast our votes this morning and I was surprised at how many people were turning out at the time. Let`s just hope they all did the right thing! lol :-) Sandra xxxx
I like the inverted one Jeannette. Its been very blustery here today with a drop of rain too. What a good idea to do this!
Isn't technology marvellous?! Great results with the lovely blooms. There were several of people voting when I went this morning!
I think I like the solarized best. I just love purple. So glad you are feeling better and back to writing. I so love reading your stories, you find the most interesting topics to tell us about and of course watching Nathan grow. Love his haircut. I have locks of hair from all three of my boys first haircuts. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!! Linda
Oh, I love them all. Isn't it just so much fun to play with photos in those PAINT SHOP PROGRAMS? I love my PSP, it is something like Sandra has, a different name though. Yours are so creative.
It is chilly here in Missouri for the middle of May, we have had frost every night this past week. Will be so glad when summer finally gets here and STAYS! :)
Hugs,
Sharon
Jeanette,
I like all of the photo's! The last photo, would make a great template...for those who enjoy counted cross stitch. Don't you just love being able to do this all in the comfort of your own home? ~Deborah
I really like cartoon! Very cool!
Lovely piccys. I like the inverted, but thats because I like green, well done. xx Julie xx
Hi Jeannette. I like the either the solarized or the inverted. But, I must confess, I like the original picture the best of all. Pansies are such happy flowers, don't you think? Really, it's hard to improve on Mother Nature. Susan
You aer so 'knowing'. i don' know how to do most of what you do, but hen again I have men in the house that love to try to teach me (as you know). lOL i love all the pics. They each have their own beauty. Pennie
lovely picture! I like both the inverted and the honeycomb looking one ;o)
Hugs!
