The weather seems even colder today and we have had to put the heating back on. Some Spring this is turning out to be.
Beautiful pictures always make my day, we all love them I know, so to view wonderful shots taken by a really good photographer, please visit Deborah - she would love to see you and you know you can spare a minute - oh yes you can! Deborah can be found at:-
Not got a lot to write about today, all very quiet on the home front. As we have been remembering VE day of late I thought I would share this old photograph with you. It was taken when my Father was in the ARP before he got called up into the Royal Artillery during WW2. Not exactly VE day celebrations but very evocative of the war.
I like to think that I look like him. He was a wonderful man, a tower of strength, a true gentleman, always full of wisdom and always helping others behind the scenes and never taking credit. I miss him.

Our weather stinks here too. Cool and dreary. I need my sun back! Love your photos. Your dad was a very handsome man and sounds like a wonderful person.
Hello Jeannette,
Your Dad, was a very handsome man. Think you resemble him in looks, you also help others...a true friend. Love old photo's, thanks for sharing these.
My cup runneth over, and you have made my day. Thank-you, from the bottom of my heart. xxx~Deborah
I love looking at old pictures. Your dad is very good looking. I can't imagine it still being cold, I am in Miami Florida and it is a beautiful warm sunny day here.
BTW I love your graphics.

We keep going from heat to air. This has been one messed up year for weather!
Good picture of your dad and I think you really do favor him. Going to be kinda warm here today with a 20% chance of showers. It's 74.5º here right now with a high predicted of 85º . Have a good weekend. Helen
well another wonderful entry as usual thank you God bless my friend kelley
We are doing the same thing with the heat...last night I got so hot in the night I was thinking "what are we going to do when it actually gets hot?" We already had the window open and the fan on, after freezing at the baseball game!!! Weird...JAE
Love those pictures. If it doesn't warm up soon I will have to get my winter "bloomers" out. Keep smiling and thanks so much for your support.

I think you do look like your Dad , Jeannette. It`s a great photo. I love all the old photos of my Dad who I thought was the most handsome man alive! He too was in the RA for the duration of the war. Have a lovely weekend :-) Sandra xxxx
I like their helmets. LOL
Oh yes Whirled Piece is a very nice photo journal. I have been visiting there for a while. Quiet is a good thing...
Have a wonderful Sunday! Linda
What a wonderful picture of your father, Jeannette! He sounds like a wonderful man and it seems like you took on some of his character traits :-). I am glad you are feeling a bit better. I understand how those anti-biotics can make the belly queasy. A few home remedies I have tried for that are cinnamon (works best!)..put some on your toast or even chew cinnamon gum and eat a banana. I hope you are all better very soon! Hugs to you and Mike! Love you! xox

My uncle had some old shots of WWII and I used to enjoy pawing through his pics until he'd shoo me away. He was a Yank but talked about Killroy and I just learned from another Brit where Kilroy came from. So much to learn so little time.
Best wishes my dear. Glad you are back in form.
