Growing So Fast

Tuesday mornings we always look after Nathan.  Had a surprise when he came this morning.  He had received his first hair cut!  Becky did it herself. She is very good at those sort of things, she cuts mine, Mike's and Dean's although she has never had any training, she just has a flair for it and the confidence to do it.

She said she felt sad and a little upset cutting his hair for the very first time but it was getting so long and growing down over his ears.  She has collected the cuttings and put them into a jar until she can get a special memento box to put them in. It brought back memories to me of her first hair cut.  Of course, I did not do it myself. I took her to the hairdresser and what with paying afterwards and chatting, I forgot to keep a piece.  I have always regretted that.

He looks so grown up now. A real little man. He was ten months old last week. Already he pulls himself upright and can even manage a couple of steps holding on to his walker before he gets totally stuck.

Here is his new look.  Isn't his hair gorgeous?  If he keeps that colour, with those big blue/grey eyes, he is going to break some hearts when he grows up. This picture was taken in our garden today. We made the most of what sunshine we had.

He is a loving little boy, always smiling, always laughing, a real joy to be with.  We are such proud grandparents. God sent us all a  true blessing.

Hi honey. Nathan is such a cutie. Becky did a terrific job cutting his hair. Had to laugh, remembering the first time I tried to cut my son's hair. LOL  IT was not a good job. Fortunatly the barber was able to tidy it up. Hope you're doing alright today, at least a little better. think of you often, pray for you always. Hugs. *Barb

Awww, bless!
Nathan looks so cute with his new hair cut, have to say, well done Becky!!  I remember attempting to cut J's hair when he was this age, didn't do a good job at all.  Had to do like Barb and take him to the barbers to get it tidied up, but I did keep some of his hair.  We are sentimental aren't we :o)
Looking at this pic makes me miss having a teeny tiny around!
I know you love him to bits Jeannette, it's lovely that you see so much of him, you and Mike are wonderful Grandparents.

He's certainly growing fast - already able to stand up on his own. That's amazing. I didn't walk until I was two! But I always say that's because I was making the most of it, before all the walking I had to do in the Army! That's a beautiful haircut - very professional.

Oh! What a sweet smile. I remember my son having blond hair like that when he was a baby. Brings back good memories. I agree with you, children are a blessing from God. Helen

I know what you mean about Nathan being a heart breaker. He is one now and will continue to be one all his life I think. He is so gorgeous you just want to pick him up and cuddle him all the time. No wonder you are so proud of him. I wish he was mine. Thanks also for what you put on your page about my operation. I received a lot of good wishes from lots of new friends. It just proves what agreat bunch of people are out there. Thank you so much for caring.
Love Joyce.
