Nathan's Art

As promised I am sharing Nathan's nursery school  Christmas artwork. I know he had great fun doing them and Becky has them proudly displayed.

The first one is a Christmas tree bell ornament - from the front. Sorry about the flash across the face, that was caused by reflection.  The nursery staff must have taken the photo of Nathan as none of us had seen it before.

Now from the back

Obviously had lots of help with the writing lol.

Now two different Christmas trees:

Not to forget the Christmas stocking

A "plant" made out of his handprints

Lasty, a calendar.

Hasn't he done well?  He is growing so fast and is now a person and not just a baby anymore.  I can remember making things for my parents, oh so very many years ago and I still have little gifts Becky made for me.  It still brings a lump to the throat.

We had a visitor last night and Mike took a short video, very short - only about sixteen seconds.  He wished a Merry Christmas to all (and I am sure that includes you).

And finally.......

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME: According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY single historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen,  just had to be a girl!

We should have known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-arsed man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost!

The items Nathan made are indeed precious.  I still have those types of things my kids made.  The only thing that still exsists from my young school days is a pig cutting board I made in the 2nd or 3rd grade.  One of the students fathers cut them out of thin wood then each student painted the faces, etc on them and then the dad took them and put varnish or something on them to seal the wood.  My mam never  used it as a cutting board (of course) and gave it to me many years ago after I was married.  At this moment it's hanging on the wall in my kitchen.  Linda in Washington

I just love these.  My son is 29 and I still have some of his stuff and his sister's things they made in school.  They grow so fast.  what I would give to have a few minutes with them again at that size.  He did really well and those are lifetime keepsakes.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

Wonderful Jeannette!  I love Nathan's Christmas 'presents' for his family, I can imagine how proud he was when he gave them to Becky, bless him!  She'll need more kitchen walls once Daniel starts pre-school too!  I had heard that about the female reindeers before, I don't know where though, but it's a good fact to repeat to the men! ~~~ Pat

Loved the pictures of the precious art work.  Every now and then some of my grandchildren's art work will find its way to Grammy's house, and I display it on the fridge for months and then finally lovingly pack it away in a Grammy box.  Does anybody else notice that grandchildren grow even faster than our children did?

Hi Jeannette !!!!!!!!!

Nathan's artwork is beautiful and I like it. I would have displayed them too if I were Becky. I love the Christmas tree bell ornament. I wish I would have been there to see Santa Claus I'm sure you all enjoyed that. I get to play Santa Claus tomorrow because I will be giving gifts to my coworkers tomorrow at work. We are going out to eat for a Christmas lunch which I'm sure will be quite fun. I hope that they will like their presents. I also hope that you and your family will have a great Christmas. Take care and I would like to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I am just getting to the older entries in my mailbox ( Only 347 Days Till Christmas, on your banner, lol )      Nathan's artwork is wonderful.     I can barely remember making 'handprints' when I was his age in kindergarden.    After kindergarden, art was never a subject until highschool and then just minimal study.    Band was the big thing that was always promoted and I was in it for a few years but found I am not a musician.      I can see that Nathan has an eye for symmetry and should continue to develope his ability.     I was able to watch the short 16 second clip of the 'Santa and Sled' a few seconds at a time.    mark
