Some Christmas Photos

Thank you all for the many messages on my previous posting.  Also thank you to Gayla, Lori and Joyce for their cards which arrived yesterday.

I am sharing with you some Christmas pictures today. We did not use the camera as much, we were too busy playing with the boys.  One of them shows Daniel with a white bear. This was lovely, you press its paw and it glows first pink, then blue, then green. It stays on for about ten minutes at a time and makes a useful nightlight apart from being very sweet to look at.  Daniel said "Aaaah" the minute he saw it and hugged it tight and carried it around most of the day.  Sadly it only worked for three days and that was it.  New batteries made no difference.  I have contacted the firm explaining that we do not have the original packing, it was a gift and we never expected it to go wrong.  They have agreed to refund my money.  However, first I have to go to all the hassle of packing it up and sending it back.  I hate it when things are faulty and have to be returned.  Daniel misses it already.  We will be getting him another one but Becky will get it from a shop this time so that if that one goes wrong she can just pop it back to where she bought it.

The first picture shows us sitting around the dining table

Mike is still very under the weather with his cold.  He has a very nasty cough now as well.  Luckily I have escaped it so far.  However, he is enjoying being online and playing games.

The sun is shining brightly today although a bit on the watery side.  We do have very strong winds though. Becky just gave us two portraits they had of the boys taken in black and white. Black and white seems to be making a big comeback.  I shall probably post them next time.  Daniel still had long hair when they were taken but they are lovely pictures.

Well, I am not even dressed yet so I had better get off here and see to that, then I shall be taking the decorations down from the bedroom and hall, maybe the dining room.  The lounge ones can stay until after New Year.  It will mean not having to do so much work all at once that way.

Have a good day my friends

What a shame Daniels' bear didn't last, like you I hate it when things break but sadly that seems to be the norm these days. I hope Becky can get another one. I'm so glad you had a good Christmas, the photos of the boys enjoying their toys were great. I hope your family have a wonderful new year! Your Christmas table looks wonderful and everyone is happy with the meal and occasion.    The white bear looks like a real animal and Daniel may think it is one of Jack and Jessie's companions.     It is too bad it had to be returned from being made poorly.    You have some great picture's for the family album!    mark

That centerpiece on your dining table is lovely, Jeannette!  It is a shame when toys are faulty.  It's not like they don't cost enough.  Poor Daniel...such a disappointment when they have something they love, and it has to go back.  Much luck with the new one.  Wishing you and yours a healthy and prosperous New Year.  Hope Mike starts to feel better.  Love xx Chris

Hello Jeannette,

I loved the Christmas photos they were really nice. The boys are certainly growing. Tell your family hello for me. My mom started taking down the Christmas tree and all of our decorations and the stuff on the mantel piece. Its sad to see all of the decorations being taken down and put in boxes. I guess I will have to wait until next Christmas. I hope you have a great New Year's and that you and your family will enjoy themselves as well. Byyyyyyyye for now !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Jeannette, Thanks for showing us the lovely photos of your Christmas celebrations. What a shame about Daniel`s bear only lasting a couple of days. Now he`s grown attached to it it has to be taken away, thank goodness the manufacturer will give you a refund. It`s lovely to see the boys playing so nicely togther with their toys. Please tell Mike that I hope he feels better very soon.

Love Sandra xxxx

You certainly look like you had a lovely christmas in your house. . .the table look beautiful and I love the big candle. What a shame about the bear, hope Becky can get another one.The winds have arrived here and tomorrow is supposed to be very bad.Black and white portraits always look lovely. . a photographer told me once that they look better as time goes by as colour ones look out of fashion and the black and white always look timeless.

It's so fun to watch the little ones on Christmas morning.  What fun.  It makes up for all the tough times we had with our own, getting them raised.  I saw a little sign once that said "Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your kids."  I agree. Hope Mike is feeling better soon....Linda in Washington

I just love all these photos of your little grandsons.  Also the candles.  Doc bought five Christmas candles, so every evening he lit them.  It's a very nice tradition, but my little grandson is absolutely fascinated with them, and I have to watch him every second!  I grew up in a rural area where we had no electricity for years.  We actually put candles on the Christmas tree in holders fastened to the branches.  We only lit them for a little while, and watched them closely.  I didn't buy canclles for years because I associated them with danger. (I started a fire once with one) Doc watches them!  Gerry
