Well, the outside lights are up and were switched on as always on the 1st December.
That is the lights outside. We do not have the indoor lights and our Christmas tree up yet. Every year it seems to take us longer to decorate and much of it is falling to Mike this year until my neck is really better. By the time you take down all the ornaments and carefully wrap them, go through boxes trying to find the decorations you want, putting them in place along with all the normal household chores, the time simply flies.
We have to get it all finished by Monday evening as we are baby-sitting again on Tuesday. Can you imagine the havoc if Nathan and Daniel got into the boxes of everyday ornaments and Christmas things? No, we need to get everything safely stowed away out of the reach of little fingers. The tree will go up tomorrow (Sunday) along with most of the other things but we simply cannot rush it.
I know you will understand why I just do not have the time to comment on your journals at the moment. When the decorations are all finished, I will be able to catch up. In the meantime I thought you might all like to see a little video of our lights. Makes me laugh because it looks as if we have no roof to our home!!
The stars are around the pond in the back garden and they look so pretty reflecting on the water, we can see that from indoors.
I expect that you are all quite busy as well but I wanted to do this short posting to let you know what we are up to and that I have not forgotten all about you. Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Somehow I didn't get an alert that you had an entry in your journal- your lights are lovely! I just thought I check your journal and sure enough there you were with a nice video too ! We don't do outside lights here at my house, but put some candle lights in the front windows. It does add a bit of cheer, but nothing like yours ! 'On Ya' - ma
Oh that is so funny. We are just the opposite. We have most of the inside decorations done, but not the outside. Hopefully, we can finish them this weekend when Hubby gets back home. Still praying for you. I got a very disturbing email from Sylvia. I sure hope Ron and she are okay. The holidays are always hard for people who suffer from depression. Praying they haven't done anything like what her email sounded like. It really scares me. Praying for Ron and her also.
Hugs and prayers,
Susan

I am glad you sent an alert as I didn't receive one from aol ~ won't the boys just love those lights and the stars around the fish pond are so very pretty ~ thanks for sharing the video with us ~ Ally
Hi Jeannette, Thanks for the alert. I didn't get it from AOL....Love your lights, especially the blue ones. We don't have any decoration up yet. We usually wait for my mum and dad to come and this year they will get here just a week before xmas. It is our personal tradition that grandpa and the children put up the xmas tree and the decorations together. Have a nice Sunday.
Ciao

Blimey!!! The lights are lovely, well done Jeannette and hubby! Hugs. Terry x
could you come and decorate my house? xoxBarbara
Hello Jeannette,
Your lights look lovely and festive with or without a roof...lol! Please tell Mike that he`s done a great job. I can only imagine what Roman will try to do to our Christmas tree once it`s up, I need eyes everywhere as it is, as you obviously know yourself. What on earth is going on with alerts going out one minute and not the next? Oh well, that`s AOL for you....sigh.
Love Sandra xxxx
Pretty lights! Enjoy getting the rest of your decorating done! I love this festive time of year. Take good care of yourself.
Hugs, Kathy
Jeannette, your lights are so lovely! I completely understand your not being able to get around and visit. I am having a hard time myself lately. I've only been in this house 7 years but I've noticed that each year it takes a little longer, and I put up a little less. Those little ones will be fascinated with your Christmas things. They seem like such well behaved little boys. I'm thinking they will look but not touch..lol. Mine were very good about it when they were small. Have a lovely Sunday. Love to you, Chris
Thanks for letting me know you had posted; I did not get an alert.
Your lights look great! Your video and music really got the Christmas Spirit flowing through me...thank you! Now let's see if I can get my stuff done, today! Jae
Oh it is the same here across the pond....for some reason Christmas sneaks up on me every year, too much to do and not enough time....don't worry about not commenting...enjoy the season....take care...Sandi
Your light are so pretty. I'll be lucky to get the inside of my house done by Christmas. Have fun with those boys.
A Christmas tree in the family room.....a lighted wreath on the front door. That's about all we decorate. But then we are out here at the end of a country road....no one to see all that pretty decoration. ;o) - Barbara
Pretty.....
Linda :)
It`s hard work decorating things at the best of times, but a Christmas there`s always more but by the looks of things well worth the effort!
luv bella xxx
Beautiful. Y'know, some people pour scorn on those who bedeck their homes with lights at Christmas. Why is it then that as the cars go past, without exception they all slow down. Many of them too have children's faces at the windows gazing in silent rapure at all the pretty pictures made with strings of lights. What's more how did they know the lights were on? Did they pass them earlier on the way home from work and decide to bring the kids to see them? And why do hundreds of thousands of them drive all the way to Blackpool to 'see the Illuminations'
To those who put them up at their own cost in cash and labour I say good luck to you and yours. MORE POWER TO YOUR ELBOWS and damn well done.
Jim Halliday bows to you and the rest of the British people who ask only that they may live in peace and harmony with all men regardless of religion or colour.
I did not get an alert for your entry, Jeannette :-\.
Christmas always keeps people busy, doesn't it.
Lovely video jeanette thanks for sharing it with us, there is a farm not far from where we live and every year the whole of the farm yard, cow sheds, barn ect is bedecked with Christmas lights, all the local children think it is where santa lives, they have a charity box at the end of the drive and all money raised goes to a local charity, I must see if I can get up there this year to take some photos,
take care Lynne xx
what alovely posting jeanette! I think yuor tree will be awesome! what kind of ornaments do you put up? I'm fascinated! Sounds very sound to do all of that whiel the little ones are away!

Your lights look really lovely. . .would love to see Nathan and Daniels face when they see them..THEIR faces will be lit up too!!I like to see houses all lit up. . . and the people who go to the bother I really admire. . .thank goodness people go to the trouble too.
Your lights are pretty...I especially like the star ones out the back around the pond...I love seeing lights outside of houses but sometimes they can be very OTT and to me that spoils the look Caff xxxxx
Oh, I wish I could get my player to work more than a few seconds. The lights did move some. My son is supposed to come over and see if he can't help. I got a bunch of instructions from aol tech but I can't follow them. I feel so frustrated when I come to your blog because you always have videos The problem might be in my computer. Well, I will excuse you from visiting while you are decorating. Ooops, I just got an alert saying you are over to my journal saying my graphic is nice! Synchroniciity! Or rather Donna's graphic is nice. So you are visiting! Gerry
I'm kind of seeing the videos, but will try to remember to watch them when I go to visit J, who has broadband! Your lights look good!

I am glad you are enjoying the stars around the pond. The little one's will have to be away from the ornaments for sure. Hope you are doing well. My back is very stiff so I am being careful how I move and can not bend. mark
I didn't get an alert for this entry Jeannette but came across it after adding a comment to the recent one about Mike's birthday.
Thanks for taking the video of the lights, our outside lights are up (including the Santa climbing the wall!) all of the indoor decorations are up too and this weekend it's the tree - can't wait!
