Earthquake - light a candle, read a blog

Like thousands the world over I have been shocked and saddened by the Asian Earthquake and the horrific loss of life.

I found this beautiful site and have taken a few minutes to light a candle for all those who perished and for all those who are left with nothing.

Perhaps you would like to do the same.

Light A Candle - a guided, interactive ritual

And please visit this journal from a blogger who is in Sri Lanka and is reporting on the situation.

I`ve just lit a candle. Thank you for that Jeannette.  The world has gone topsy turvy since Boxing day when the news broke about the terrible events in the Indian ocean.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the suffering and the bereaved and also to the Aid workers doing work that no human being should ever have to do...God bless them all

I hope you and Mike and all your family have a very Happy New Year and may 2005 bring you health, happiness and prosperity  love Sandra x

It really is a sad situation. I am gratified by how many people around the world are trying to help.  Those people are going to need help for months though, so I hope we don't forget about them though when the next "big thing" happens.

Thanks for sharing this Jeanette, I lit my candle and said a little prayer that the relief will much outweigh the need.  I'm posting the link in my journal so others can light a candle too.
