Christmas Poem

I have a list of people I know
All written in a book
And every year at Christmastime
I go and take a look.
And that is when I realise
That those names are a part
Not of the book they're written in
But of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone
Who has crossed my path sometime
And in that meeting, they've become
A treasured friend of mine.
And once you've met some people
the years cannot erase
The memory of a pleasant word
Or of a friendly face.
So when I send a Christmas card
That is addressed to you
It's because you're on that list
Of folk I'm indebted to,
And you are one of many folk
Who in past times I've met
And happen to be one of those
I don't want to forget.
And whether I have known you
For many years or few
In some way you have a part in
Shaping things I do.
This, the spirit of Christmas
That forever and ever endures
May it leave the richest blessings
In the hearts of you and yours.

Your wonderful journal entries are the best Christmas Card I could receive.  Just like your poem above says!  You are written in my heart. My card to you and yours would be my entries and prayers each day.  Blessings and a ***BIG SMILE*** for you today !  'On Ya' - ma

Hi hon. Somebody sent me a Christmas card with that poem on it last year. It says it all, doesn't it. Your card is on its way. Would have written something in it but I'd written so much the day I did my cards I couldn't write out one more name. Just know you're special to me. I pray for you and your family every day.
Hugs, and happy holidays.

What a lovely poem Jeannette, until I got to the end I thought you had written it yourself.  Thanks for your comment on my journal, it seems that Nathan and Roman could be related! Why not considering as I`m being credited with Mike as my husband still, and Daniel as my Grandson....lol!  I`ll have to suggest to Kerry about the sleepsuits you mentioned, they sound just the thing for wriggly Roman! :o)

hugs
