We Thank You

Mike and I would like to thank you for your lovely messages and support on the loss of our beautiful Pip.  It has meant a lot to both of us.

It is hit us both much harder than we could ever have imagined especially at a time when I am battling to get my blood sugars back to acceptable levels and the shock and upset have not helped in this one bit.

At the moment, I do not feel like writing in my journal as you can understand.  I know as the days pass it will get better and I hope to be back with fairly regular entries soon and commenting on all your journals.

However, Mike and I both needed to thank you and we do, from the bottom of our hearts.

Very understandable; I know when we had to part with Molly we both cried for days, both before and after the event....perhaps it was even harder for us as thanks to other parties we had to have her rehomed, so there was no sense of closure if you understand what I mean; fortunately we managed to keep Sam but those same parties are making life for Sam really hard, they have made him more nervous than ever.........it is always done while we are out, shouting abuse at him through the front door - we know what this person is doing but we don't know how we can prove it!!!

I understand how hard it is when you lose a pet. It'll take time to heal then you can just remember all the happiness Pip brought into your lives. Take care. Jeannette xx

Jeannette, just to let you know I am thinking of you both at this awful time.  I do know how you feel as we have lost two cats and our beloved dog within the last five years. It does get easier of course but the house doesn't seem the same afterwards and you still expect to see them.

We will all look forward to reading your journal entries when you feel more able.

Best wishes,  Pat

Hello Jeannette...........I am sorry to hear about Pip its hard to lose a pet but its more like losing a part of the family. It will take some time to get over it. You and Mike will never forget Pip. I am sorry about the loss........Take this time to think about Pip I'm sure he will always be with you and your family in spirit forever.

Knowing how they age, I look at my 3 year old Salty and appreciate him all the more.   They have have their life spans and are in our lives for only that time.   I did not want another dog because of the attachment and expense, but now he is a part of my life.   He loves being taken for walks and motivates me to go out and walk when I wouldn't otherwise.   Losing them never gets any easier, but we know that is the way of nature sparing them from suffering.   Take care and God bless,  mark

one of the most profound issues in life is our love for our pets. They know nothing about us, they hardly know our names but their love for us isunconditional - without expectations. We share our lives, our walks, sometimes (surely not!) our beds and their departure, often instigated by ourselves, is harrowing and endlessly painful. I am so sad for you to have lost PIp. He sounded such a good pal!!!

many blessings to ya'll.  I'm so sorry about beautiful Pip.  There's a poem somewhere about the rainbow bridge, let me look for it.  It's about seeing our pets again one day.

love
