Friday again and another week of radiotherapy completed. I was very panicky today unfortunately. Still I am not going to talk about that, it is behind me and I am not even going to think about next week right now. I have had to stop the painkillers provided by the hospital, they have given me awful heartburn. When I think of all the painkillers I have taken since surgery, it is not surprising. However, having a weekend break and just being able to relax will help my neck and shoulder.
At last the weather has improved and the second load of washing is in the machine. Nice to see the first load blowing on the line. I love the smell of fresh laundered items that have been hanging outside.
I really do not have a lot to write about because you know how my days are taken up so I thought I would share a few photos with you today. Mike popped out into the garden and got a couple of shots.
Firstly the blue Irises at one end of our pond
Blue and Yellow at the other end
The roses are blooming well and early
Now for the latest pictures of Leo. He has grown quite a bit but is still small. He squares up to the dogs even thought he is smaller than their heads and tells them that he is the leader of the pack. It is cute when he goes up to Jesse and brushes alongside him. He also loves playing with the "other" cat he sees in the mirror. This first shot is of him playing with a toy that Mike made him. It is only an old plastic bottle top on the end of a piece of string tied to a stick but it is Leo's favourite and he has hours of fun with that. The photo is a bit on the bright side because it was taken against the light. Look at that fat belly - well he never stops eating. No, not worms, he has had the full treatment. He is just a greedy guts.
Lastly, two photos of me holding him. I did not want my face in the pictures with my tired eyes and dark circles. When I look better that will be a different matter.
He loves having his tummy rubbed
I am going to try and add a new tag to my sidebar today. It is for a group I belong to called Sisters in Christ. Some of them are journallers themselves. We all support each other through the bad times, we pray for each other every night. You only get one e-mail per day giving the names of anyone of us who stands in need of prayer. There is no bulging mailbox connected with the group. When good things happen, there has been an improvement in your circumstances, knowing that the others have been praying for you, you send in a report telling the rest of the group. When things are not so good, you send in a prayer request. Nobody pressures you and you do not have to send in reports unless you wish. Reports simply let the other members know how you are doing with whatever problem you are facing. They are a truly wonderful bunch of women, each dealing with their own problems. If any of you are interested and would like to become part of the group, then please let me know and I will contact the lady who runs it. For some reason, it will not let me add the tag to my sidebar so I am putting it on here for you all to see. Please note this is a graphic, not a link.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend, whatever you are doing and whoever you will be with. God bless.

Hi Jeannette! I'm so glad to see you continue writing to us in your journal. I was really upset when you had decided to close your journal. But, I'm happy you are posting regularly.
The anxiety is a tough thing to battle. I have anxiety issues as well. Sometimes it's all I can do to make it to certain activities. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to go to your treatments each day. But, you are a strong woman!! I know this from reading your journal for the last 1.5 yrs! Just take one day at at time. Don't think any further than that.
Leo is just too cute for words! I am glad you are enjoying him. I can tell he enjoys you! I'm sure the boys love him!
Your backyard garden photos are beautiful! Go sit outside in your lovely garden and rejuvenate yourself this weekend. And know that we all care for you so much.
Hugs and love to you....
Pam
Hello Jeanette, I' m so glad you've got through another week, ever closer to the end of your treatment. Your garden is beautiful. My roses have all blossomed and are hanging very heavy, I suppose I could go out and cut them. I was surprised to see how much Leo has grown and how much he looks like my Oliver. It only seems like five minutes since you bought him home, but I suppose my weeks go quicker than yours at the moment. Make sure you make the most of your weekend Jeanette and rest as much as you need to. I'll be thinking of you as always, and you'll be in my prayers this week. God Bless you Jeanette.
Yours flowers are beautiful Jennette, and little Leo is so-oo cute, oh I want to cuddle him!
Both my cats love having their tummy's tickled, but my son's cats will have your arm off if you try! lol.
take care
have a nice weekend
all the best

I am glad that you have another week behind you. Your flowers are lovely. Leo is so cute now. I wonder if you could take something to coat your stomach before or after taking the pain pills to see if it would help the acid thing. Hope you enjoy the weekend along with Mike and the animals. Helen

Sorry you had a bad time this morning but how lovely to see the sun and the roses are beautiful. I start a small amount of radiotherapy on Monday so thanks for telling me what to expect. It's been a great help. All good wishes for the rest of your treatment. I pray it goes well for you.
Happy Friday! You have more than the normal reasons to celebrate, but I always celebrate the end of a work week. Your work, your job -- getting better has ended for one more week too ! I am determined somehow to get a line outside for my wash, I do miss the smell ! Your sweet Leo is so adorable. He is a blessing in many ways. I do feel as though you are already a
Sister In Christ to me. You are always in my prayers and I rejoice in each new triumph you make on your journey. At this time I have so many concerns with my dad that I cannot join any groups successfully but maybe later. Just know that our dear Lord is right there beside you each day ! 'On Ya' - ma
Leo has grown so much! Another week down - you are to be admired for getting through it. Perhaps when all this is done, you'll be over your fear and will be able to venture out more often. That would be a great "Side effect" of your therapy! Have a relaxing weekend
~~Kath~~
Leo loves the camera! Your flowers are pretty too!
Missie
To a most inspiring, brave and kind individual. You have the heart of an angel and you are such a fighter.
Leo is fab, my small one has been so interested in the pictures and we have watched the video of him several times.
Please give 'him indoors' a big hug for loving you so well and looking after you. You are in my thoughts and prayers
Love Helen and her 'small one' Zoe xoxoxoe
Leo is a ham! LOL So cute, too.
Have a lovely weekend, just relax & enjoy.
Hugs, Sugar
The Garden looks wonderful, Leo is a riot! I think a relaxing weekend will do you a world of good. (Hugs) Indigo
Your garden looks beautiful. My roses are not even close to blooming...there's tiny buds but that's all. I did feed them the other day, so hopefully that and the sun we've been having will bring them into bloom soon. Leo really is growing..I wish he could come play with Gabi. That would be interesting to see. She's so sedate, she rarely plays with anything. Have a good weekend, hope the weather is summer like for you. Linda in Washington
Jeannette another week gone getting nearer to the end of your treatment ~ you are so brave ~ will keep you in my prayers ~
Leo is lovely he really looks like he is loving having his tummy tickled ~ and the flowers are beautiful~ Ally x
((((((((Jeanette))))))))) I really enjoyed the Leo and garden pix. Our kittens Xena and Tux send their greetings. They are eight weeks old now, been here two weeks and quite a handful lol. They are the only surviving littermates of two feral cats who brought them to our daughter's second story balcony during a rainy deluge here. Their eyes were still shut. They all lived on the balcony for six weeks! What an adventure for our daughter.
I am very much interested in the Sisters in Christ group and would like to know more and be involved.
loving you
karyl

((((((((((Jeannette)))))))))))) your flowers are just beautiful. And wow did Leo get big. so happy to hear another week is done and over. your doing great, not much longer. my husband use to tie a toy mouse onto the line of his fishing pole (hook removed) and cast it across room and reel it in slowly. Hi Jeanette another week behind you, well done. The flowers are gorgous, I have a few Iris's too and have roses out but they are not so nice as yours. Glad you are enjoying the garden. Leo is so gorgous, I remember my Daisy being like that, she is still my baby although she will be three this year. We are soul mates I know everything what she wants, she only has to stand and look at me and we connect. I will post a photo of her next time in my journal. Take care Kathy. Enjoy your weekend and do rest.
I loved all the photos...so pretty. Hope each day that passes, is a good day for you...your always in my thoughts and prayers...hugs and love,

Your garden is lovely and Leo is the cutest!!
Another week done! You are doing great!!
Your Sister in Christ
Linda :)
Jeanette,
The Irises are so beautiful! They remind me of the passion my Mother had for Irises and how many different varities she had growing in her yard. They truly are a magical flower. Your backyard and/or patio looks so peaceful and inviting and on those hard days I bet it brings you a lot of comfort. I'm glad for you that you have that :).
And Leo is precious! Oh how I wish I could have a kitty. But either the dogs would not tolerate it (the would not) or I might just be allergic. Some cats bother me and some don't, but Leo looks like he wouldn't.....LOL.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers Jeanette and anytime you would like to chat please feel free to IM me ok? ANYTIME you are welcome to.
Huggers,
Gayla
How anyone can say they don't like cats - or any other animal - is beyond me! A fat tummy is a trait of kittens and puppies. A tiny lab pup we had years ago had to be helped out the back door after she'd eaten because her tm would get in the way!!
Angie, xx
The garden's beautiful Jeannette, those Iris are stunning and so fresh and green. Liking Leo a lot, he's a chirpy chappie :)
You're in thoughts, you're doing great, rest well. Rache
Oh, Jeannette, everytime you look at your beautiful garden filled with wonderful creations it must thrill your soul. Just seeing the pictures of them. especially the irises, did so for me. Surround yourself with beauty such as this and you will heal well my dear....you are in my thoughts and prayers...Sandi

the flowers are so beautiful. and i love little leo.........i am so glad you got him. kitties add so much joy to our lives, especially in the midst of trials and tribulations. i can be so depressed and have no outlook of hope, and my kitty does something really dorky and i can't stop laughing.
my thoughts and prayers are ever with you.

regina
