I promised you a short video of Leo playing and it is very short running at only around 48 seconds. He is like a whirlwind now he has settled down. He loves to run up the canopy above my bed! However, when I go for a lie down he always curls up either in my arms or on the pillow next to me. Firstly here are a couple of photos of him taken yesterday.
Before I post the video, my long term readers will remember that last year we planted a Rowan tree in the front garden. Well, it was more of a twig really with just a couple of thin weedy stems. No chance of any blossom last year. Look how it has come on. We should get a lovely crop of red berries in the Autumn.
Now for the short video of our crazy kitten
P.S. If the video says "image coming soon", ignore it, it will play anyway or at least it does for me.
Three radiotherapy sessions down, twenty to go plus next week not only four treatments but also a consultation with my oncologist about the medication and another visit to the simulator to get everything re-checked. I am pooped already. At least I have three days to relax because Monday is a bank holiday. But that means six appointments in four days next week. I have also been told that by the end of next week the tiredness from radio should start kicking in. Oh joy.
My poor boob does get bright red from the treatment but I am looking after it as instructed and it is not too sore. I was warned that my boob might shrink. Just think of that. Imagine having one sized 44c and the other sized 42a, the mind boggles! I shall have to resort to tissues like I did when a teenager lol
I shall be so glad when my last radiotherapy session is over and I can have my life back. At the moment it is owned by the hospital.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and video of Leo. Have a great weekend everyone and once again, many thanks for your support and your love. God bless you.

What a little tiger !
You sound quite an old hand at the treatment; well done. Bunny x
Now that you have brought it up Jeannette...I have one smaller than the other since my treatment. I wish the larger one would drop a size to match. I will just have to walk up hills sideways. Lol!
Your new ilttle kitten is an angel! I can see he is going to be a live wire. Your Rowan tree looks spectacular!
I am glad the countdown has started on your radiotherapy. It won't be long until those appointments are behind you and you will have an empty 'ish calender hanging around again. All the best. Jeanie
Oh Jeanette, Leo is such a sweetie, I would love another cat but alas Stephen is allergic to cat fur, bless him for bring such joy to you and Mike, LOL at the thought of you stuffing your bra with tissues, I'm so glad that you still have you sense of humour, laughter is the best medcation so they say, so keep on laughing, and so pleased that you seem to be coping with all your hospital appointments, well done,
Love Lynne xx
Loved the pics of Leo and the video as well. The Female Cat I mentioned in one of my post, that was a stray. I had previously thought she had lost her litter. At the beginning of this week I saw a tiny bundle of grey, then a few days later another one with Blk, and white paws. The kittens survived Yeah!! They are beginning to wander out from the abandoned shack, it's amazing to watch them play and be wild. They have never had any human contact what so ever. We are still trying to get the mother cat to trust us enough to pick her up. She is slowly bringing her kittens toward the house to eat. Sigh! I can rest easy now they survived. I still have to figure out what to do with them when they get a little older. (Hugs) Indigo
Jeannette, Leo is a really beauty, so lovely. Have you seen your breast care nurse about the difference in sizes. They have things that will help but usually wait till after all your treatment has finished................take care my friend.........Jules xxx
Cute video clip of Leo! Judging by the amount of energy he has maybe you should have called him Dynamo instead LOL Love B x
(((Jeanette))))

Leo is a sweetheart. what joy he must bring you now. I hope all the treatments go well and the time goes fast for you. Love that tree you planted, it sure is doing well isn't it.
Take care,
Sandra
Awww....if the pictures weren't enough, that video just makes one happy! Silly kitten... reminds me of when mine were tiny and playful. Although it did seem then, that their claws were alot sharper. Maybe that's because they always used to climb up our pant leg...
just keep chuggin', love....the days will (hopefully) pass quickly...
~Amy
Leo is adorable, Jeannette! I'm so glad your sense of humor has returned. You are a trooper. Keep up the spirits! So many prayers are being sent your way. Much love xx Chris
What a cutie ! Another feline addition in J-land. Don't you wish you could bottle all that energy and sell it? You'd be a rich woman. My friend Susan went thru the whole radiation thing last fall. Now she goes weekly for Ratuxen (not sure of the spelling) treatments once a week. But she's going from Olympia to the University of Washington Medical Oncology clinic in Seattle, a distance of about 70 miles each way. She's had to resign her post at the call center where we worked together (she could no longer go thru treatment & hold a full time job), and because of her illness has qualified for state assistance. So a van now picks her up at her door and takes her Seattle and then picks her up at the end of the day and takes her back home. She would never have had the energy to make that drive herself. You're still in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. Take care dear Jeannette and tell Leo hello from Gabi. Linda in Washington state
He is gorgeous ,just like a kitty on a birthday card ,I enjoyed the video too ,I was relieved to see you hadnt swept your dust under the mat ,when Leo flipped it up to check lol Yes I remember when you planted that tree ,its looking good now ,take good care love Jan xx
Oh he is so beautiful! My Morris looks a lot like him. But my Morris is 16 years old. Hope you feeling better. You are in my prayers.
Love,
Tammy
You are so surrounded by many friends it is wonderful. If you get reading this wee note it is just to say that Mary and I think wee Leo is just GORGEOUS I don't think there can be anything as cute as a kitten It is so hard to rememeber them t hat size. Mary's Amber was once that size I am reminding her he is such a huge puss now. Keep taking it easy and just enjoy that wee star..much Love Sybil xx
I'm so glad you are still writing the journal, Leo is just a little gem, he's so cute, I want one too! Best wishes as always xxxxxxxxx

Love ya girlfriend,
Cindy
Hello Jeannette, I loved seeing Leo playing with the ball, it's nearly as big as he is!I can understand you feeling your life is owned by the hospital, when I had to go in for my cancer operation I just thought 'I will give myself over to them and when they have finished with me, they will give me back,' and they did. I am glad you are sounding more chirpy, they can't keep the good'uns down for long. Take care Mags x
Jeanette your Leo is adorable and loved the Rowan treeyou planted. As for the sore boob, please take daily some giger be it in the spice form, gigner tea or gingersnap cookies....ready this many years ago and have passed it on to many friends and family members who have had radiatiion.....read where it helps with the burning sensation. Do it daily and see if doesn't help you. Bless you. Arlene (AJ)
i love Leo what a crazy kitten:) thank you for sharing:) enjoy your weekend
Deb

Oh loved the video and pictures of Leo. Such a cutie. They are so funny when they play. Our felines are our comic relief. I love them so...
Big hugs to you on enduring all that you are going thru with the treatment.
Take care.
Sonya
Leo is so precious! I am so glad that he found you....
Linda :)
hello jeannette i have just seen your little leo in action how sweet he is, he was sure ,having fun, nice to see he, has settled in well. Well done you made your appointment, at the hospital pat on the back for you, i know you have a long way to go but keep up the good work, my prayers are with you always god bless. ps its lovely to see you back for a while.
Dear Jen, I am so glad that you have not abandoned your journal wrting as it is a real joy to read about your daily activities, well mostly a joy except when you tell of your treatments and your sufferings. But you have such a great sense of homour like the bit about the odd bra cup size, I guess it is your sense of humour that is getting you through all this and giving you the strength to carry on. Plus that delightful bundle of fur that you recorded, he looks so sweet and full of life and energy, no wonder you love him so much. I can,t write much honey as Arth has not been too good lately and he had a bad night last night due to pain, he is asleep on the couch right now and I don,t want to wake him by tapping too loud on the keys. So I,ll wish you a good one, take care dear friend, sending lots of love and good thoughts your way x x x x x x Love and hugs Anne
Awww. . .hes lovely!
Oh Jeannette, Leo is a little poppet and he certainly likes to play, with the rug as well as the ball! I can see that he must keep your spirits up even when you are at your lowest ebb. I remember the entry when you planted the rowan tree, it certainly is doing very well, can we see a photo when the berries are on it? Good luck with the treatment, as always you are foremost in my thoughts. :o)
Love Sandra xxxx
Awwww! Leo is cute and playful. Your tree is lovely and it looks very healthy. Praying for your speedy recovery. Hugs to you and your family.
Jeannette
The pictures and video were great. What an adorable what an adorable companion Leo is! A bundle of energy, too, it seems. I'm glad you are making progress with your treatments and that you will get three days to rest up this week. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
Sam
Leo is a ball of fun love the way he lifts the carpet no more brushing dust under it
The photo's of Leo are wonderful. I went and worked on my laundry while downloading the video of Leo as it takes forever for just for 49 seconds with dial-up. But I am now only paying $9.95/month for unlimited time on AOL which is great to just visit the journals and look things up. The video was fun to watch as he jumps around at lightning speed with his tennis ball. What a bundle of energy! I think you are handling your outlook with the treatments well, and I think of you and ask that God give you the strength to edure your treatments. My appointment with the Orthopedic Back Surgeon to see him for the first time is coming up May 21, right before my 55th birthday on May 26th. I must bring my MRI's from last summer. The reason it has taken so long to get an appointment is because of my State/Federal Medical Card or Public Aid. Doctor's are not getting paid for over a year in the State of Illinois and then only a fraction of the cost. I have been told that surgery for stenosis or narrowing of the spine is the easier of the back surgeries. It is to remove the bone that is putting pressure on the spinal cord. mark
Leo is the cutest thing ever!! Thank you for sharing the video with us. I hope your resting on your time off xx
Jenny
