Please Will You Sponsor?

Our journal friend Jules It's my life - a diary in remembrance of Felix    is taking part in the Race For Life to raise funds for cancer research just as she did last year.  I am touched that this year she has dedicated her run to me.  I never thought I would be diagnosed with breast cancer and so many women get this awful news every week of the year. Thousands get diagnosed with other types of cancer. Every penny counts in funding new treatments which are getting better all the time. So many families will be affected by a relative that has cancer.  Maybe you have been affected, maybe you have lost loved ones to this disease or you probably know of friends or neighbours.  This is such a worthy cause.  * Please note this has nothing to do with the American "Relay For Life".  The two are totally separate.*

Americans can donate as well, it is not just confined to us Brits.  Provided, of course, they have the right kind of card such as Visa.  I do hope some of our American friends will be able to support us.

However, little you can spare, please give. It can save lives.  Thank you my friends and a BIG thank you to you Jules

Here is the link to the site. You can sponsor there.  Please let us help Jules to raise a lot of money.

Race for Life - help us make more people survive

A couple of years ago, my sister dedicated her "Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure" run to me. It was really kind of her (she also had them mention that my husband had survived prostate cancer)

Last week I went to my oncologist for my Fifth Anniversary post-chemo. It is excellent to hear that one is doing as well as one thinks. I wish Jules well in her endeavor, and we'll be thinking of her when our next race comes up.

(((((Jeanette))))))
Please know that I will be thinking and praying for ALL those involded in this very important race. About 6 months ago I committed myself to:

The Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation
Race for a Cure.

Whether I am in a cast for my broken foot, I'm sure that I can do my part of this great orginaization----here or in the England. This could be answering phones, greeting participants, giving information and other helpful things that are desperatley needed.  Deending on race day, I may not be able to walk but will be there in spirit cheering on the many selflesh sponsors and the thousands of participants here in the Las Vegas chapter and all over the world!!

Thank you Jeanetter for posting this with so much helpful information. If there is anything I can do to help YOU or anyone else, please do NOT hesitate to call or write. All I have to do right now is stay home in a cast and would love to put myself to work; besides my studies....hee hee.

Love you for all that you have done. Your the best and my true sister in my heart:)

Please let me know Jeanette and my offer still standt to HElP in anyway I can.

Biggest, Warmests and Heartfelt HUGGERS to you my friend,
Gayla
