Good Friday

No matter what we are doing this Easter or whom we are with, let us remember in our hearts the true meaning of Easter. Let us love one another, do good wherever we can and thank God every day for his many blessings unto us.

I would like to thank everyone for the lovely cards they have sent to Mike and myself.  Although the weather today is very gloomy indeed, our living room looks so bright and Springlike

It certainly makes the day to find something bright and happy  in the post.  Mike has given me a lovely bouquet for Easter which is also cheering up our surroundings

We shall be seeing the family over the holiday but just when has not been decided yet.

It has all been very quiet at this end.  Apart from Jack that is.  He has just eaten a second pair of my shoes!!! Well, eaten is an exaggeration but for some reason he has chewed the toe part out of each pair.  Yet you never hear him or catch him doing it, he just leaves incriminating evidence and as soon as you find it he puts his tail down and runs for his basket.  We know he is teething but with all the toys he has, the rawhide bones to chew, the hours spent playing with Jesse and the three walks he gets per day (one of them a romp over the fields off the lead) you would think he has enough to do.  I shall be glad when this phase is over. Mike is pleased because he has graduated from his shoes to mine!

This tree is so pretty, I  just had to post a picture. I love the unusual shape.  Actually there are two of them but this one has the most blossom

Mike and I would like to wish you and yours a very happy and blessed Easter and, whatever the weather, may your hearts be filled with love and sunshine.

God bless you all.

P.S. Please feel free to sign  my Guestbook under All About Me.

Happy and Blessed Easter to you Jeanette. I am so glad you have so many lovely cards. I like to send them too but not many people seem to bother nowadays so I haven't many myself. I hope you are feeling better and you enjoy your family visit. I have my two children and their spouses coming Easter sunday for a turkey meal and and of course Keiki my new grandaughter will be guest of honour she is 4 and a half months now and adorable with the biggest blue eyes any one did see.
I don't often write to you but enjoy your entries always and think of you often . Take care and God bless you and yours............Jennie

Jeannette, thank you for the Easter greetings.   Yes, I'm afraid too many people have forgotten the true meaning of Easter.  Just like Christmas, it's become a secular, commercialized holiday.  I think Jack is some sort of weather psychic...I bet he knows England will have a very hot summer and you'll need "open toed" shoes to stay cool.   LOL   Have a blessed weekend,  Linda in wet & windy Washington

Salty chewed several things when I got him as a one something year old.   He can stay in the house alone now and is a perfect dog.   I am working on his dog pen several hours a day.   I am finding and being bitten by ticks and chiggers.    I applied Frontline Plus to him this morning after giving him an outdoor hose bath yesterday.   The new medication I am taking for my back pain is much better than the previous.   I have been sitting in the chair for hours reading which is a great improvement.   I am not overdoing it outdoors working and it heated up here to the mid upper 80'sF which is above average temp, so I used the air conditioner indoors yesterday for several hours.   I have followed all the instructions to download media flash players and I still get nothing so I am unable to view cards.    Have a great Easter,  Mark

I have a friend who had puppies. She went to a Good Will and bought a couple pairs of shoes for about $2.00 and gave it to the puppies. It saved her shoes!

Hi Jeannette,  A very happy Easter to you and Mike.  I had to laugh at Jack never being caught red-pawed with your shoes.  They are little devils when they`re puppies aren`t they, thank goodness that stage doesn`t last too long or you`ll run out of shoes! :o)

Hi Jeannette.  Just stopping by your journal and saying hello.  It is a lovely journal and I really like your about me section.  Thank you also for pointing out the true meaning of Easter.  I am a mom of three and preacher's granddaughter so it's very important to me that my children know what is happening at this time of year.  I have to carry on the heritage I was blessed with.  And your livingroom does look so beautiful and springlike.  Thanks for sharing the pictures,
Hugs,
Lisa
