Flora

The weather has thrown everything at us lately, strong winds, torrential rain, black skies and coldness and yet Mother Nature never fails us.  She is there waiting to display her finery so, no matter how much the weather gets us down or how much we may moan about it, look for the beauty of nature which is all around.  I am sharing with you today a few of the pictures that Mike has taken in our garden over the last couple of days.

The above are flowers on the Chives.  You are not supposed to let them bloom if using them for cooking purposes.  We prefer to see the flowers.

These are just my own selection, each one stunning in its own way. The variety and form of flowers never ceases to amaze me.  Now we are waiting for some warmer, drier weather and for our garden to be less like a swamp so that we can put in summer bedding.

Even Border Collies can enjoy the flowers

Thanks to all those that expressed interest in a ghost story that I have not yet told.  I have thought about it and if you still want me to post it, I will,  although it will run into several entries because you would have to know all the background.  I would be happy to post it when my bad neck and shoulder are really better (this is what has been keeping me from the computer and commenting on your journals).  Just let me know.  I am aware that some people do not like this sort of thing.  You would have to make up your own minds as to whether you believe it or not.  I know the truth because it happened to me.

Have a good week my friends.

Lovely flower pics, Jeannette. Hope the neck improves - perhaps cast a critical look over the way you sit at the computer. Height of chair vs desk, angle of monitor &c.

You know I always love your stories, so I hope you are up to it soon.  The flowers are beautiful.  When you look at the miracle that they are, it makes you grateful for all of nature.  Yes, even the rain.  It's been hot and humid here and I guess it would be great if I could go to the beach, but I'm working in air conditioning so it's not bad. The dogs are so handsome.  What a pair they are !  'On Ya' - ma

Beautiful flowers !   It looks like Jack is really growing...not a baby anymore.  He looks like a "teenager."  Hope your shoulder and neck are feeling better soon.  I've had to have physical therapy on my neck & left shoulder so I feel your pain.  Linda in WA

Hi Jeannette !!!!!! I had to come for a visit. Here in Georgia it has been extremely hot between 89-91 degrees you can't breathe in it its so hot. Your pictures of the flowers are stunning. I love seeing all of them. I would love to take a walk through your garden as I'm sure my mother would. What is the name of the Orange flower its quite beautiful ? What about the purple one ? Your Border Collies are cute my puppy Hobo is growing and coming into himself. We are spoiling our newest baby in the family.

I would be interested in the ghost story that you haven't told yet. I hope that you will consider posting it for readers of your journal which includes me. I love a good ghost story myself I would enjoy reading it.

Take care my dear friend........Bye for now.

Your flowers are GLORIOUS.   I SO need a new camera.  What kind do you use if you don't mind my asking.  I want one I can really zoom in with.  The flowers on the chives are my favorites!! Though they are just beautiful.  As are the dogs.  They are soooo cute.  Give them a scratch behind the ears for me.

Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous!  I am so impressed.  I don't have many flowers in my garden so I am very envious of your collection!  As far as the ghost story goes, I am very excited about the possibility of reading your story.  I have never had a personal experience but I do believe in the super natural and ghosts.  You write so well, I know it will be great if you decide to share it.
