I had a totally different entry planned for today but that will keep for the moment.
We had such a nice time looking after Nathan this morning and when Becky got back from swimming with Daniel, the skies had cleared and it became sunny and warm so off into the garden we went. I had a high old time playing ball and hide-and-seek with Nathan and Daniel took his first ride on the push along toy we bought for Nathan last year.
Mike put some plastic sheeting over the grass which was soaking wet and that will prevent Becky from having to wrestle with grass stains on their clothes.
Nathan is so funny. He has watched us feeding the fish in the past. So, when outside, he went straight to the container and took out a pellet, just one mind you, and then he knelt down by the pond and dropped it in, stood up, smiled and clapped his hands to show how clever he had been. This was repeated on several occasions to laughter all around. I kept singing Old MacDonald and he did the e-i-e-i-o and always beamed afterwards.
Today I got my first real goodbye hug from Nathan when they left and it brough a lump to my throat I can tell you.
Lots of smiles from both boys today so I am sharing some pictures with you:-
Daniel is now pulling himself up and standing for quite long periods, it will not be long before he is walking.
It is Daniel's Christening on Sunday. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend but then I did not attend Nathan's either. I have got him the identical present though. Long time readers may remember we got Nathan his own wooden armchair with his name and Christening date on it, so Daniel now has one of his own as well. When Daniel is a bit bigger I shall have to ask Becky to take a picture of both boys sitting on their chairs.
Dean has finished their patio and they are hoping that the weather will be good enough on Sunday for people to be out on it. He did it single-handed and has made an excellent job and I think it looks very professional
Our grass is sadly in need of a mow but it is far too wet and I also noticed I have nice crops of weeds in my pansy tubs. Still, not to worry, they will be emptied out soon for the summer bedding.
Well, I was so busy playing with the boys that nothing has been done around the house today so I will stop here and get on with some housework.
Until the next time......

Hi Jeannette,
What lovely photos of the boys, they look so happy playing outside. I can see that Daniel really loves the toy car. Just look at him standing up like that, I`ll bet he`ll walk really soon. Kerry says she thinks Roman will start walking by the time he`s fifteen...years...lol! :o)

What a lovely entry! The sunshine and the smiles roll off the screen and directly into the reader's heart. Thank you!
Rob
I can both see and feel there is a lot of love in your family. Thank you for allowing other people to share it. I bet you get a lot of satisfaction and quiet pride too in writing it, Like I think I have said before Power to your elbow, girl Jim Halliday.
I love this entry! I had a very busy day, and I thought I'd relax a bit, and catch up on all my alert's [yes-mine are working just fine] and this entry has put a huge
smile on my face, and warmed my heart! The faces of those children tell the
whole wonderful story; and what your grandson did with the pellet is adorable;
it's amazing how quick they are, but so young; the housework can wait! it's not
going anywhere! LOL But the children will grow up fast; savour the time; the
new wooden chair reminded me of the beauitful Rocking Horse my grandmother
bought for my late son, Chris, in Vermont they found a man who made them by
hand, out of wood, and personalize them too, with their name or whatever, and
it is gorgous, like a piece of art! lol Chris loved it too, it was made in such a way
that it could not tip over; so I liked that; I went in the garage just today, and
noticed it there, in the corner, alone. So I think I'm going to clean it off, and
bring it back into the house, for me. it would look just fine in the corner of my
bedroom-I hope; we'll see. Enjoyed the pictures Jeanette too, always do. By
the way-your patio is lush-is! Your a lucky lady! ~Diane~
I so love Nathan and Daniel pictures... :) I can not believe Daniel will be walking soon...
Looking forward to the picture of them in thier new christianing chairs.
And a wonderful job on the patio, I am sure they are so glad that their home is finally done.
Linda :)
