Saturday Snippets

Late posting today as we looked after Nathan.  Impossible to be on the computer whilst he is here.  It was a joy to have him as always.  No matter how often we see him he always seems to have grown so much the next time.

The weather has been miserable all day.  Not the much needed rain, just grey and overcast.  Luckily the flowers did not take too much of a battering.  Our hanging baskets are starting to do well now:

I am debating whether to put any more ghost stories on.  I know quite a few of you say how much you like them and I have many more.  However I do notice that whenever I post one, the comments drop so maybe there are many people who do not like them.  To continue or not to continue, that's the rub.  I shall have to think some more about it. Maybe even take a vote on it. We shall see.

I am still annoyed at the fact that from August 1st, here in the UK, we will have to pay for the helpline. I consider I pay more than enough now.  I wrote with a complaint, all I got back was an email saying they did not understand the nature of my query and instructing me how to use the helpline!  If it were not for journals I would seriously consider taking my business elsewhere.

Well, there is not much else to write about today. I have so many alerts to catch up on now, I shall do them and then have a quiet evening after a busy but rewarding day.

Take care all

I emailed AOL and complained. I got nothing back so I phoned the helpline. "This is the way it is" I was told, "to benefit you more" Hmmm..how does paying more help me? I agree with you, Jeannette, lower their subscription, they've got enough members. As for your Ghost stories, I like them! Don't let us ghost lovers suffer....Maybe start a Journal just for ghost stories...Depends on how much time you have!

I agree with you on the help line and being charged for it. So far they have made no mention of doing that here. I enjoy your ghost entries. They are very intertaining for me to read. Your hanging baskets are gorgeous. Helen

Love your petunias. Your ghost stories are great. I am one of those who do drive by reading of your entries and do not leave comments. I'll try to write something from now on...

I LOVE the ghostie storys Jeannette, and would miss them if you didn't post them anymore.  Up to you though my dear, sob sob ;o)
Still haven't got that email from AOL about charging for the help line, how strange.  I do agree that they get a lot of money out of us already.

I like the petunias (of the nightshade family having a funnel shape corolla).  Seriously, that was not off the top of my head! LOL  More ghost stories or whatever story you care to write!  -Mark-

Please don't give up those spine chilling tales of horror, that I love reading before I go to bed. If AOL start charging anymore I am going to ccomplain. I had antivius protection from McAFee on annual subscription, then AOL started charging me every month for the very same thing. Rang. Told them I already had it and asked for money back. Only got 1 month's but they had taken more than that. Next thing I know I have no McAFee antivirus protection at all! Was forced to take it on with AOL, only way I could get it back.  McAFee and AOL are in coherts with one another and it's wrong. Like you I only stay with them because of journals and friends. I now pay as much for dial up (AOL 9) as I could get broadband for with other companies, and now I read they are intending to charge for help. They are the reason we have to ask for help, always messing something up they are. Take care.

I love the stories!  Pleas eput them in!  Somnetimes I may not comment. because, frankly, with so much that goes on in those stories, there is nothing to be said!  But, I will promise to leave a comment...even if it is something like "I was here".  Please, please, pretty please???  JAE

To be honest I do like the ghost stories but I don't have as much time as I would like to read them - hence me not leaving a comment.  I hope you understand - I do love reading your journal :-)

I rarely comment. however it would be a shame if you discontinued the ghost stories. I really enjoy them, and I promise to comment every now and then.

Hello again Jeannette.......How are you ? First of all "DON'T STOP" putting ghost stories on your journal. I happen to research them after reading your journal. I find that your ghost stories are ones I haven't heard of and so I research the stories and I find them interesting. I really, really, really, really, really, really want some more ghost stories. Your journal is a must including your ghost stories. I will be sad to not read any more ghost stories you post on your journal. Here's my vote - I WANT THE GHOST STORIES - YOU HAVE MY VOTE -

Lovely hanging baskets!!
I enjoy reading your ghost stories, however I always save them to later so I can give them my full attention. But by then you have written several other entries sharing your garden or Nathan and they end up getting my comments instead... For example here I am commenting and I have not gotten to your last ghost story yet... LOL!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Your hanging baskets are glorious Jeannette.  I`ll have to post a photo of the mangers I have at the front of the house, though yours are more colourful!  Please don`t stop writing the ghostly tales, I love them and so do many more of your readers, judging by the comments left, the spookier the better!  :-)
