It is unbearably hot today, no breeze whatsoever and well into the nineties. I shall be glad when it cools off!
As promised I am posting some pictures of the park. Not very established at present. They have planted many saplings so as the years go by and they grow, it will be lovely. All Mike managed to see were some seagulls but it is a bird sanctuary. I think the birds just have to get to know that.
Anyway, as you will see, the dogs loved it!!!
Trust Jess to find half a tree! Mike was very careful with Pip because of his back and hips but he seemed to love it and swimming is supposed to be good exercise for joints. I doubt they will be going today, the park is approached via a very long footpath (not exactly user friendly) and Mike says it is just too hot for him to walk it today.
I am still very tired and I guess the heat is not helping. Been very down in myself lately, and certainly not bouncing back like I usually do
I hope to be back to ghost stories and other more interesting entries soon. I would like to thank all the new people who have been visiting. It is nice to know that your journal brings pleasure to others.
Now I am off to have a rest and to try and get cool.

Very good pictures. It looks like a very peaceful place. Good shots of the dogs. You can tell they enjoyed the swim very much. It's nice and cool here this morning following storms yesterday afternoon but it will get hot again this afternoon. The storms are compliments of Dennis who keeps swirling around. Hope you soon get to feeling up to par. We need some more ghost stories to keep us on our toes. Helen
Much much too hot today :o(
That park looks lovely, wouldn't it be nice to swim in this weather, like Jess and Pip!

Take care my dear.

Love the swirly smiley by the way :o)
I find these entries really good (prefer them to ghost stories!)
Nice and cool here!
Looks like great fun for the dogs. Refreshing for them too! The heat is unbearable here in the states also. Sucks the energy right out of you. Hopefully things will cool off soon. Enjoy the rest of your day!
The boys sure look happy! Jess reminds me of our Oreo, always thinking BIG. (It's never twigs and small branches). lol
It's just as hot and humid here, as well. Wish we could flip a switch to change the weather. So I stay inside all afternoon, and apply bug spray after supper..so I can water the flowers and not get eaten alive.
Looking forward to more ghost stories, when you are feeling better. Take care.

The landscape around the pond or lake looks like areas where I live. The dogs have to enjoy swimming in the heat. I haven't taken Salty for a swim in a lake yet. He loves water I can tell. I have to soap and hose him down after jumping in the sewage lagoon at home. I don't want him running off if I let him off his leash when I do take him to a lake. He's been doing well here at home, returning after running around the neighborhood knowing that I have a beef snack in my hand. Hoping you are feeling OK, -mark-
the park looks lovely.it's nice to see the boys enjoying their swim-i wish i could join them,it's so hot!
It looks like a wonderfully refeshing place! It it too warm here now as well, I do suffer so in the heat, too much European blood in my viens, LOL

Hi Jeanette, love the photo's - especially the ones of the dogs....Sam loves the water, has no sense of danger tho'; have mastered the downloading into file manager, now for the next part!!! Stay cool!
The new park looks like a dog`s paradise. Jake would be in the water with your two boys, they must feel so cool in there. Whenever we see a dog with half a tree in it`s mouth, you can almost guarantee it`s a collie, it must be a breed thing! I was told by the vet that swimming is excellent for dogs with joint problems. It really strengthens the muscles and ligament with the strain on the joints. I hope you feel much better soon. Take care my dear friend. ((((hugs))))

What a terrific place that new park looks - wonderful bit of water there! And, talking of water, I hope they are managing to give all the new trees they've planted plenty of water in this drought. They'll never recover properly, if the roots dry up as young saplings. But it sounds, and looks, as though it's going to be a lovely park.
David.
Nice pictures yet again, looks lovely that park :)

Hope you can beat the heat! That park looks really pretty.
Beautiful park....looks like the guys enjoyed it! I pray your health is improving. And I see they are hot on the trail of where that terror came from!! - Barbara
