It was more like a November morning than September when I arose this morning, very dark and gloomy, a little misty and damp. However, there was definitely that Autumn smell in the air although the trees are still hanging onto their summer foliage and only tinges of gold and red at the moment.
Well, thanks to all the support I have received and thanks to God, I went to the blood clinic this morning. Cannot say I enjoyed it but I went. Even managed to get through the fasting with no problems much to my surprise. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful encouragement you have been giving me. It has truly helped. Now, I have to wait and pray that the results came back with no major problems.
We had a quiet weekend, spent most of the time taking out the summer bedding and putting in masses of winter Pansies. Of course, they do not look much at the moment but as this week is forecast to be reasonably warm, they should quickly get established and provide a good show. Not as bright as the Geraniums were and I must admit to missing the strong colours right now.
Saturday night I lost myself once more in The Last Night Of The Proms. I always find it so stirring. With the link-ups to Glasgow, Swansea, Belfast and Manchester as well as 40,000 people braving the rain in Hyde Park, the singing of Land Of Hope And Glory was something to be heard. Who could not fail to feel a swell of pride? I have long believed that this should be our National Anthem rather than God Save The Queen (oops do I hear them coming to take me off to the Tower?). I try and watch as many of the proms as I can, but the last night is always something special.
Apart from that I have been reading "Tyburn - London's Fatal Tree" which was a Birthday present. I love history and have amassed quite a few books. Some are a little gory but fascinating all the same.
So, not a particularly exciting weekend but enjoyable. I am glad I have got the blood tests behind me. Now I must try and stay calm and not brood or worry about what might or might not be. Thanks again for all your prayers, your words of encouragement. You have uplifted me and helped me in so many ways. I thought of all of you on my way in the car this morning and it did strengthen me. I wish I could hug each and every one of your personally. Your friendship means the world to me.
Well, I suppose I had better think of doing some housework now or.............................maybe not.
Wishing everyone a great week.

Glad you got to the doctors OK. I hope the results come back with good results. Blood tests take so long to get results don't they? It's a gloomy dark day here in Brighton too!! We've had no rain over the weekend so we are lucky in that respect. I share your love of geraniums, such bright colours. Hope you get the results you want with the blood tests have a nice quiet day. Love Jeannette.
Well done Jeanette told you you would do it. You put me to shame my pansies are crying out to be planted out. Keep you pecker up as we say up here Love Joan.
I think you deserve a nice relaxing day, with little or no housework, after this morning, and all that fasting :o) Well done Jeannette, at least that part of it is over now. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the results, and of course I hope that they bring good news.

What is a prom in the U.K.? Is it something to do with the royalty? Over here in the U.S. its a fancy party the juniors and seniors in high school go to where they buy expensive dresses and play grown ups! LOL Hope the weather improves. We have had a nice stretch of weather here ourselves in upstate NY. Linda
hope the tests are ok....Glad I'm not the only one that thinks that about the National Anthem..(I'll save you a seat here in the Bloody Tower!!)

Regarding housework: It's way easier to think about it than to actually do it! lol And I am so very PROUD of YOU! (((Jeannette))) Everything is easier when He holds our hand, isn't it? - Barbara

Hi there Jeannette, hope all goes well for you. Just been looking at my sorry excuse for a garden, it looks like summer is finally leaving us, despite the warm sunshine we have here today. Take care.

Hi honey. Love the picture. It is so quieting. The colors in our area are beginning to brighten quickly, turning to hot pinks, reds, yellows and browns. Hate that so many of the flowers will be disappearing but they will bloom again when Spring returns.
SO happy to hear the fasting was not too difficult for you. Try not to worry about the tests. I'm sure they'll be okay.
Hugs, love and prayers

Jeanette. I woke up in Swansea today to clear skies and looked forward to a warm sunny day which has happened. I have contacted you because I have read your journal for a while and you have always come across as friendly. I have just started my journal and posted my first entry today. I hope someone will read it even though I think it could be boring. As to fasting blood tests, I was due for one 6 months ago and as the doctor saw fit to double my tablets and then tell me that she needed a liver function test because these tablets could cause liver damage I have now turned to drink in case I am told that I can't drink anymore. Anyway That's enough. Take care of yourself because I do enjoy reading your pages
Love Liz
beautful graphic looks like you are ready for the fall I do hope you will take some pictures I wil probably never make it there but love to see pictures you post sounds like a nice relaxing weekend I think you needed it so glad the apt went ok and you made it whoo you are still in kmy prayers and thoughts God bless kelley
Glad that it is over for you. I have to go soon too and am not looking forward to it. I have passed out from needles...unreasonable fear I know, but hey..never, ever could I have been addicted to any type of needle pushing drugs, so a backwards good thing. Enjoy the rest of your day....Sandi
I am so glad you managed to get to the blood clinic and that it is over for now!! My best thoughts go to you for some good news with the results :-) Lovely graphic - you can almost picture yourself there can't you?? I've always thought that should be the national anthem too............
I missed Last Night at the Proms. . I love to see it too.
Glad to hear that is behind you and you did okay. For people who are invisible, they sure do show themselves when you need a lift. I am finding that out myself. I love history as well so I can understand your excitement. I go to garage sales and buy high school, college and even elementry history books and read them cover to cover! People think I am strange but history is a very important subject.
Hoping that your tests will find the problem. It is still hot here. You are cheerful and upbeat, and that is a good sign. Wonderful graphic. Take care, mark
So glad you made it to your testing! I knew that you would get the strengh to do it.
Glad your trip to the clinic went well. Now we'll keep our fingers crossed for good results. My summer flowers are still so pretty, I'm waiting awhile to put the pansy's in.
(((HUGS))) to you this morning! I am so glad you are doing just fine ! We are feeling the pinch of the fuel bill here and it'll be worse this winter - the ranting and raving helps some! 'On Ya ' - ma
We finally have the cool weather after days of 90 degrees. Pansies are one of my favorite flowers! It's so hard to wait for test results to come back...I will join in with a prayer too! take care hon. rose
