Thanking You

Thanking you all so much. I had so many wishes of support and love when I posted about my health problems on Thursday.  I was deeply touched.  Then again for my Birthday yesterday.

I was not expecting Becky to do an entry for me so that was a nice suprise and then to receive lots of Birthday wishes from you.  I would also so much like to thank all those people who sent me personal  e-mail messages, spoke to me on im and all those who sent me internet cards and greetings (you all know who you are).  I am also grateful for the people who are praying for me.

Fasting is not going to be easy tomorrow night.  I was so hungry I had to get up and eat something at 6a.m. this morning, I often get ravenously hungry, so this is going to be awful for me having to go over 10 hours.  So, keep rooting for me that I can do it, one slip and I would have to cancel the tests which I do not want to do.

The sun shone on my birthday (unlike today) and it was lovely spending time with the family.  I got some books and some CD's so they will keep me busy. We did not do anything special, just sat and talked together and, of course, I got to cuddle baby Daniel and play with Nathan and that was the best Birthday present of all.

Of course, the camera or I should say cameras came out (all four of us have one and we were snapping away like the paparazzi!) and we did get some nice pictures a very few of which I am sharing with you today.

The first is of Daniel

Here I am, holding him

And again

With the two wonderful boys

Nathan now spends a lot of time kissing his little brother

He also likes to cuddle up to him and try to share his own bottle with Daniel

This last one I played around with.  I was in it but it came out with me having my eyes closed and my mouth wide open laughing at something Becky said.  So, I cut me out of it and came up with this lovely picture which I am very pleased with

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks again for all your support, your love, your prayers, your Birthday wishes.  You have truly touched my heart.

They are beautiful photos. I'm glad you enjoyed the day and have happy memories in the photos. Good luck with the fasting, it's hard I know. I had to do it once, I was told after that you can drink clear fluids, wish they had told me before, I was gasping for a drink!! I hope it all goes well for you and you get treatment. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. Jeannette.xx

The photo's are gorgeous, especially that last one.  Nathan loves his little Brother, so sweet.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow, with your fasting.  You can do it my dear, I know you can.  Fill up with plenty of water if you get desperate.

Jeannette - Photos are lovely - As to being hungry - close your eyes and pretend you have eaten a BIG lunch I'm told this can work - wouldn't like to vouch for it though lol...Ally

Sorry but I have been out of the loop. I am trying to catch up with everyone this weekend. I decided to take the weekend off from helping Red Cross. Lovely pics. You make me so jealous of your grandkids. My oldest is 19 and in college so I have to wait for a few more years to be a Granny.

Glad you had such a wonderful birthday! Mom is a diabetic and has to fast sometimes. She uses sugarless gum to stop the hunger. Sometimes just chewing helps settle your stomach. It makes the brain think you are eating. If I ever have to fast I know it will work for me because my brain is very slow at catching on to things!

So happy that you had a wonderful birthday. The photo's are great, I love them all. The one with Nathan smiling and Daniel's head on his shoulder is so precious. So were you listening to a CD of Kiss Me Kate...or the movie? It's one of my favorite musicals. Good luck with your fasting, hope you can at least drink water. Take care.    ~Deborah

Fabulous pictures of the boys!  I'm betting that made the day very special, didn't it?  My two nephews are 11 and 5, with the oldest one turning 12 this year.  Hard to believe they are so big now and the time goes too quickly.  You will get through your fasting, honest you will.  Will be thinking about you and let us know how things go.

Great pictures! In picture no.4 Nathan has almost the same expression as you do.
I like all of them. It would be hard to pick a favorite. Love those little teeth Nathan is smiling and showing off. Glad you had a Happy Birthday. Best wishes on the fasting and good luck on the test. The Dr. did diabetic bloodwork on me Friday. I am glad it could be done in his office building. Plus gave me around $45.00 of b/p meds.which I was very thankful for. Have a good night my friend, Helen

You can do it Jeanette, you'll have to find something to take your mind off it. The photos are adorable xx

Lovely boys,  I know you are so proud of them.  Hang in there.  Its hard to fast.  Probably worse than having to get an ultrasound where you have to drink lots of water and then can't go pee for hours!  LOL  Linda
